More near miss than great escape. Thank fuck that’s over and done with. Just need to gut the club from top to bottom and we might have a chance of enjoying ourselves next season.
When we won 3-0 at Barrow on 9 Dec we were only 4 points off the play-offs.
Since then: P16 W3 D0 L13
Goals for: 14
Goals against: 35 - and now the worst defence in the league.
What more do we need to see? It’s beyond pathetic. I am sick to bastard death of this football club.
Shrewsbury sack Michael Appleton and then reel off 5 wins a row, but we were told “There is a perception that changing a manager in mid-season usually results in an uplift in form. This is actually not correct.” @markpalios1 🤔
Terrible game of association football but great start to the year. First time I’ve seen us win away in person since the Corey Blackett-Taylor winner against Coventry at St Andrew’s in October 2019.
Club have cut their nose off to spite their face with the tent dispute as well. Feels so dead outside the ground pre-game now but that’s probably symptomatic of the managed decline we’re seeing on and off the field. Dangerous thing to try and let apathy set in.
Awful defeat. What was the thinking second half, particularly after the red card? Just threw on attackers and left us with no coherence or structure. How Harris got the full 90 I’ll never know; should have been him off instead of Blacker. Roll on Harrogate…
Posting "wow pretty problematic" under every single person's Spotify wrapped and then responding "it's not my job to educate you" when they ask what I mean by that.
@robertmays the change in theme tune for TAFS put me onto Spanish Love Songs. Just been to see them in Nottingham and it was one of the best and most intimate gigs I’ve been to. Dylan was delighted with the TAFS/SLS crossover.
