Sad but ultimately not surprised that Elliott has been released. Clear to see the potential quality he has. Wouldn’t be surprised in the slightest if he’ll be “one that got away” but his injury record will be the determining factor #ReadingFC
Following the conclusion of the 2025/26 season, Reading Football Club can confirm it's retained list.

We were absolutely battered today. Felt like the ball was constantly in our half. Definitely nicked it today. Death, taxes & Marriott scoring goals #ReadingFC
Head-scratching result today. At times we looked like throwing it away… and at others we could’ve scored a handful more!
This league is wild though. With two wins taking us up to 11th, two losses and we would’ve been 22nd.

🎶Oh what fun it is to see the Reading win away🎶
Goals from Wing, Doyle and Marriott see us win 4-1 here in Devon. Merry Christmas Royals! 😁

Another stale performance 😴👎🏻
•Hoof ball, sideways and backwards
•Kelvin 6’3” → 5’3” in the air
•Elliott a shadow of himself
•No intensity or desire
•“Press” easily bypassed
•Slow, passive buildup
•Restricted to shooting from distance

Baffling how Ben Elliott isn’t on the pitch yet. Crying out for a ball carrier here with so many pockets of space appearing. Resorted to hoof ball already and not even an hour gone #ReadingFC
Players who’ve left from the start of last season were responsible for 2/3 of our league goals last season. Squad clearly needs time to gel after keys players going. 2 games in and I’m concerned we lack killer instinct. Times ticking to improve the squad and tactics #ReadingFC
Fantastic test match! Sensational contest that had everything. That one will hurt the Aussies but they played a great game with both sides giving it their all #Lions2025
Kelvin’s had offers from other clubs. Despite #ReadingFC confident he’ll resign, he’s clearly not getting what he wants from Reading or other clubs.
Only reasons I can think of is he’s wanting either:
A) Championship club to come in.
B) Longer contract
C) More money
Hunt says Ehibhatiomhan's been given until the weekend to make his mind up on his #ReadingFC future.
Jacobson told the BBC a couple of days ago:
"It's not going to be easy [to keep Ehibhatiomhan], he's a top player and we want to put together a package that allows him to stay.
"We believe we have really done that with the latest contract offer we have handed out, at the moment we're still waiting to see what happens there."
