The reason this works with stun is how stun is specifically worded with rule 423.1.a.2

@Crimpyy @LotharHS It looses reaction because the conditions for ambush are not met, if you play it at slow speed you can kill your lone unit at a battlefield and play it there.

@LotharHS We check legality including timing of a card in step 5 of playing a card where the game says, this card doesn’t have permission to be played at this time because it no longer has reaction. The game then rewinds back to before you attempted to play Stalking Wolf.

@LotharHS It’s an issue of timing. Not one of the location.

Ambush only gives a unit reaction if the unit is being played to a battlefield with a unit. When you kill your lone attacking Poro at a battlefield (in step 4 of playing a card) it loses reaction and becomes a “mistimed”card 1/2

@TeeCGGaming The game is 9 months old, and RQs are not meant to be the pinnacle of competitive play. I understanding they currently are because the system for higher level play is not there. it’s crazy to see how fast this game is ramping up and people are still complaining
