Trying to book travel to mainland from Honolulu as part of evacuation from Maui. 90% of flights from HNL connect through OGG. Can someone please confirm that OGG is open to travelers connecting to other cities? @HawaiianAir#kahaluiairport@CountyofMaui#mauifires
@HawaiianAir - We have booked a flight from Honolulu to Palm Springs only to find that it changes planes in Maui to an American flight. Are you still connecting flights in Maui?
@WestinKaanapali - we have family in your resort currently. They are preparing to fly out, but the earliest flight that they could get on is on Sunday. We've heard rumors that they will be pushed out tomorrow - can you confirm this?
@robbdogg_ @DanArritt@TimDonovan99@ZLord79@AlexShilo3 @iamsarahensign @stox_time I am so sorry to hear that. Have you contacted the Red Cross? 1-800-RED-CROSS. They are working to reunited separated families/friends. Wishing you and Jorge the best.
@jennyfromthe604 This is what I am seeing too, but I am being told that resorts are saying that it is open, southbound only. Looking for clarity amidst conflicting information.
Rumors are that winds are picking up and as of 15 minutes ago officials are evacuating Ka'anapali Alii. This resort is on the south side of Black Rock on Ka'anapali Beach.
@brianne_mattila@ZhuoranQ@pschmitt This video shot this AM shows that the fire made it close to Ka'anapali Beach, but largely spared the resorts on/north of the beach.
The area further south, toward Lahaina is sadly was majorly impacted. :(

Wedesday 6:30 am Maui Time: Update for hotels in North Ka'anapali area: the Westin Ka'anapali Ocean Resort Villas is currently okay and not under evacuation. Not certain that this means that nearby hotels are also okay, but it seems that way.
If you're able to see it, check out this great resource on fire damage in #Lahaina due to the #mauifires . May be able to answer some questions about "what things are damaged or not" https://t.co/6qiXk0jIJQ
@ZhuoranQ@brianne_mattila@pschmitt Yes, able to reach them as recently as about 3 hours ago. They are on the north end of Kaanapali Beach and it seems that they are safe there. As Kahana is even further north, I suspect that area is okay as well. Cell service has been very spotty.
@brianne_mattila@pschmitt It's at least encouraging to know that the hotel that they're at is not currently under an evacuation order - I hope it stays that way. Have you communicated with them recently? It's been a few hours since I heard from my family.
