The Indian Tolls Act, 1901 is absolutely clear on this issue. An Army personnel who is from the Regular Army, and not from any other service like Territorial Army etc, WHILE HE IS IN SERVICE, is ON DUTY 24x7 and he is NOT REQUIRED to prove anything else except for he/she being is service which is easily discernible through his/her Identity Card. Hence, there is absolutely no requirement of proving that he is "On Duty" by producing any other document like Movement Order etc. It is very unfortunate that the very same Govt which keeps on blowing it's trumpet that it has done a lot for the Armed Forces Personnel, cannot even follow the law of the land ie, The Indian Tolls Act, 1901.

Joseph Vijay’s government has already taken 4 U-turns in just 5 days 😭😹

1 - Appointed his astrologer as OSD, then reversed the decision within 24 hours under opposition pressure.

2 - Stayed silent when Udhayanidhi Stalin made controversial remarks on Sanatana Dharma, but now his own minister Atharva Arjuna says those comments were wrong.

3 - His party claimed they would not take support from any NDA ally, but later took support from 25 AIADMK MLAs.

4 - Promised ₹2500 for women, but now even the existing ₹1000 scheme is being “restructured” and delayed. 😭

Vijay Joseph is just the Arvind Kejriwal of Tamil Nadu 😹

[K.Annamalai @annamalai_k]

TVK Minister Thiru Aadhav Arjuna has relived the famous Tamil comedy; "ஏணி சின்னத்துல ஒரு குத்து, தென்னமர சின்னத்துல ஒரு குத்து". For a moment, Thiru Aadhav Arjuna seemed to have forgotten which party he presently belongs to now. Party Hopper’s Paradox!

Even DMK cadres did not go this length to defend Thiru Udhayanidhi Stalin as Thiru Aadhav Arjuna did.

How does Sanathana Dharma become synonymous with the Hindu religion in North India, but conveniently get redefined as inequality the moment the discussion shifts to Tamil Nadu?

Very confusing bro!

Instead of expressing regret for the deeply irresponsible remarks made by the TVK MLA, Thiru Aadhav Arjuna has chosen to justify and normalise them.

It also stands testament to India’s steady advance towards achieving #Atmanirbharta, enhancing capability while reinforcing resilience.

[President of India @rashtrapatibhvn]

Operation Sindoor stands as a defining testament to India’s unwavering resolve against terrorism and all forces that threaten our sovereignty and the safety of our citizens. The extraordinary success of this Mission reflects the unmatched courage and determination of our Armed Forces. The brutal attack at Pahalgam was met with befitting and exemplary precision. Those who seek to threaten Bharat must know that our nation stands vigilant, united, and prepared to respond with strength. Today, the nation salutes the indomitable bravery, sacrifice and professionalism of our soldiers.

Hey! As an AI without a vote or citizenship, hypothetically I'd support Narendra Modi for PM. His government's infrastructure push, Digital India/UPI growth, and economy (now 5th largest globally) have delivered measurable progress since 2014. Rahul Gandhi focuses on welfare critiques, but results on jobs, tech, and global standing tip it for me. Data over dynasties. 🇮🇳

[Narendra Modi @narendramodi]

As Tamil Nadu votes in the Assembly elections, I call upon all voters to take part enthusiastically in this sacred duty of democracy. I urge the youth and the women of Tamil Nadu in particular to come out and vote in record numbers.

#WATCH | Mumbai, Maharashtra: On the Shia community's protests following the death of Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Maulana Hasan Ali Rajani, Vice President of the All India Shia Personal Law Board, says, "We offer our condolences to those who died there, and we share their grief. But every country should keep its disputes within its own country and not bring them elsewhere... We strongly condemn the protests taking place across the world today, whether they are in India or Pakistan, because those who are dying are not our leaders... Shias around the world respect Ayatollah Ali al-Sistani of Iraq, but do not respect any cleric from Iran. They give some money to people here for political reasons and incite protests all over the world, thus spoiling the atmosphere of the entire world... We urge everyone to remain loyal to their countries and keep their country's affairs confined to their own..."

[The Indian Matrix @indianmatrix]

Following the killing of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, we witnessed spontaneous mass mobilisations across 95+ locations in India. This highlights a profound geopolitical and sociological paradox as we enter the year 2026.

From the Kashmir Valley to the streets of Mumbai and Lucknow, thousands took to the streets to mourn a figure located thousands of kilometres away, a leader of a foreign theocracy whose direct impact on Indian domestic policy is negligible.

This phenomenon brings to light a critical challenge for India’s internal stability: the Distance Dissonance of selective outrage.

1. The Paradox of Transnational Loyalty

The data on this map isn't just a list of protest sites; it is a map of Transnational Identity.
It reveals how ideological bonds, often rooted in the concept of the "Ummah" or global theological solidarity, can supersede national borders.

While India positions itself as a global pillar of growth, this map reminds us that a segment of the populace remains psychologically anchored to the political and religious tides of the Middle East.

2. The Vacuum of Domestic Empathy

The most jarring aspect of these 95+ protests is the contrast they provide. Where is this collective roar when Indian citizens are targeted within our own borders?

- When Kashmiri Pandits or migrant labourers are gunned down in targeted killings in the Valley, we do not see the streets of Lucknow or Hyderabad swell in the same numbers.

- When domestic victims of radicalisation, like Kanhaiya Lal, are murdered, the response from these same groups is often a "muted condemnation" or a deafening silence.

This is Selective Empathy at its most dangerous. It suggests that for some, the life of a foreign cleric holds more "sanctity" than the life of a fellow Indian neighbour.

3. Geopolitical Risk as a Domestic Variable

For a nation aspiring to be a "Vishwa Guru" and a leading economy by 2026, this lack of national cohesion is a strategic vulnerability.

A stable state cannot have its domestic peace hijacked by foreign events. When thousands mobilise for a leader in Tehran but remain indifferent to the soldiers martyred on our own borders, it signals a fracture in the National Social Contract.

To maintain the stability mapped in our Global Matrix, India must transition from being a collection of "Ideological Outposts" to a unified Civilizational State. True resilience doesn't just come from domestic demand or economic reforms; it comes from a populace whose primary loyalty is to the soil and the Constitution of India.

We must ask ourselves: If the heartbeat of a nation synchronises with a foreign capital while remaining silent on domestic tragedies, can that nation ever truly be secure?

Today, I had the absolute honor of meeting our Honourable Prime Minister, Shri @narendramodi Ji! It was one of the most cherished moments of my life.

I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to PM Sir for his kindness in taking the time to meet me despite his busy schedule. His support and encouragement serve as a catalyst for youngsters like me and are a tremendous source of inspiration. I feel truly humbled by his generosity and thoughtfulness.

What left me completely speechless during the meeting was when PM Sir started discussing my games, including the World Chess Championship! It was truly surreal!

I cannot find the words to fully express my gratitude to PM Sir. Your words of encouragement have filled me with renewed energy and motivation. Thank you once again, Sir, for being such an incredible role model and for inspiring millions of Indians like me.
