The Brendan O'Connor Sunday show on RTE Radio 1 now has an audience of 309,000 down 10,000 in the quarter.

Irish Mirror wants you to pay to read their work online, €25 for 12 months.

This follows a fairly dire set of results for H1,2026 for Reach PLC which publishes the Mirror, Star, Express etc.

It also follows annual declines in print circulation of 14% up to Dec 2025 when Reach stopped publishing figures.

Without the Mirror, no mainstream media would have linked Kitty Holland to the Ryan Casey defamation win, or disclose the Citywest attacker and the Jamey Carney suspect were asylum seekers, nor that there was a gangland dimension to the Drogheda IPAS arson. And they probably still have the best Garda contacts.
