My Speech on Transgender Persons (Protection of Rights) Amendment Bill, 2026.
"History will judge us not by the laws we pass, but by the lives we protect. Let us not be remembered as a parliament that rolls back rights. Let us be remembered as one that stood for equality, dignity and justice for all."
We stand in solidarity with the Transgender community, & call for withdrawal of the Transgender Bill, 2026, which violates all established norms & principles of self determination, dignity,& privacy. It ironically does exactly what it is to prohibit-discrimination of Trans folks.

Samāna was the first of its kind at the time in India as a niche B2B legal advisory firm focused on anti-discrimination, diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) and workplace safety.
In this conversation with us, she spoke to about the firm's journey, starting a business in an untapped field and inclusivity (or the lack thereof) in the Indian legal profession.

@fayedsouza@LgbtqIndia@ShereenBhan@anishgawande@BhattRohin - we think the language exposes unsuspecting folks to litigation from legal heirs, and the language could be better, even if the intent was to clarify to over conservative banks !
