Personally, no, that doesn’t make me feel better. I would rather pay $800-$1000, have leg room, and they make a profit 🤷🏼♀️ I’m just not buying the “there’s no other way” push. Times are economically tough for many, and there probably is a market for some that would be willing to sit like this if that means they can get across country for $500. I would love for there to be an option in the future for people in the middle- where $500 sardine can is not appealing, and a $3000 first class ticket is not affordable.
I see you’re a lawyer so probably know more about this than most. This is what came up in my search -
“California Business and Professions Code: Under Section 6126 of California law, it is a misdemeanor crime punishable by up to one year in county jail and a $1,000 fine for any unlicensed individual to advertise or "hold themselves out" as practicing or entitled to practice law.”
There was also something from the bar association where you cant call yourself a lawyer even after passing the bar. You have to wait to be cleared the character and fitness evaluation, been officially sworn in by a court, and received your active bar license number. I have seen many reports saying you can’t do it, and no reports pointing to laws saying you can. Is there something I am missing?
I also personally believe that “doctor” should be reserved for medical doctors, but beliefs are personal. Not legal.
I think you are wrong on Kelly Clarkson. She is known to support local businesses/artists and I think she was simply wanting to support the store and a local artist the maximum way she could. The store also had a price tag next to the bird, and they are now selling the same bird for $15M. So, it is for sale, if the price is right. The artist (not the store) that made the bird is also selling similar artwork. Maybe not the exact one in the store- I don’t know because I do not understand why they had a price tag next to it. Never the less, that wasn’t offered to her… Less expensive items were offered.
I am happy they made a profit. I looked up delta and it was in the billions for last year. $5B net income to be exact. Perhaps we could all sit comfortably and the net income goes down to $3B? Or, do we continue this way of thinking until the end of time where things will continue to cost more and more and we have to continue to cut and cut so investors can make their billions as well?
@JamesSt77534538@MarioNawfal I don’t know. These companies seem to have a pretty healthy profit margin with profits in the billions. How about they charge us $600-$800 and leave it alone.
I first voted for president in 2000. For 25 years I've heard about "peace in the Middle East," and we're no closer. Meanwhile, families here can barely afford a home, basics, or retirement. And we pay Congress $174K a year. For what?
I was in business school during the mid-2000s housing bubble, watching banks hand out stated-income loans and waiting for the collapse. When it came in 2008, the government bailed out the banks, not the families losing their homes. It always does: airlines after 9/11, Wall Street in 2008, corporations during COVID, Silicon Valley Bank in 2023. Corporations get rescued; people get told to tighten their belts.
I've paid into Social Security for 26 years and been told the whole time I'll never see it. Add mandated health insurance and rising costs everywhere, and we're paying more and more for less and less. After 25 years of wars sold as peace, the only thing that's grown is our deficit. Defense contractors are doing great. Banks are doing great. Meanwhile, people can barely afford a roof over their heads, let alone a retirement.
And it doesn't matter which party is in charge. Both have had their turn, and it makes me not want to vote at all. If any employee delivered 25 years of slightly worse results, year after year, they'd be fired. Why do we keep rehiring the people who are supposed to be working for us?
So with the midterms coming, what am I even voting for? Which candidate will do the best job of ignoring our problems? At this point, I'm voting for whoever is least likely to mess it up even more. But I shouldn't have to. Show me a candidate who'll fix housing and retirement and stop bailing out corporations and other countries, and you'll have my vote.

@SecStateCornPop@MrGGWillikers@RealCandaceO Many people have posted today showing how you can change the metadata of a video on your phone, but you can’t change the date Charlie posted on his wall 😉
Most people don’t know, but bottled water dates back centuries. Here is a rare picture from March of 1609 showing the bottled water in Persia.
Trust me, bro.
Actually, the original commercial is from 2023. If this is the same specific advertisement (that we can only hear a sound clip of in the video) it was released October 30, 2023. They released an updated one on October 9, 2024.

@AndrewKolvet Are you ok with Planned Parenthood or Voters of Tomorrow doing assemblies at junior/high schools? This is hypocritical. Assemblies ≠ chapters where one has a CLEAR choice to opt-in/out without a parents note.
@BlakeSNeff Chapters are not the same as assemblies… Would you feel the same way if Planned Parenthood or Voters of Tomorrow were speaking at a junior/high school assembly to promote their cause?
@charlottewelker@RealCandaceO And his wife chose to spend the day at the GOP convention in Dallas rather than remembering her husband on the one year anniversary of his passing. Thank you Candace for giving him a memorial tribute he deserves! CIK. Go MAX!
@maryklkusa@curious10665@RealCandaceO In the comments above there is a video where Frank Turek says “the next day we had a meeting with a couple of people in Israel.”
