I’ve been a fan and customer of @vicfirth since I was kid. Now my son drums, too, and uses their products. I knew it was a great company and now I know it has great customer service, too. Big shout out and thanks to them and @ZildjianCompany !
Best metaphor I can come up with for the federal approach to long covid:
Encouraging people to barbecue indoors, and promise to fund more fire departments over the next 20 years
A 40 year old just died from Covid in Hamilton. But remember: When someone your age dies of Covid, the most important thing to do is find a way in which they were different from you. That way you can keep on living as if the pandemic doesn't exist.
This is beautiful! Wish more grocery stores would do this - so many would benefit!

COVID safe dining! Beachside dome dining. Our own little pod. Next to the ocean. The inside is decorated, heated, and we had an amazing meal. Wish more restaurants did this. #covidsafedining#bcdining @BCTourists @BeachClubResort
Ontario’s care-seeking for respiratory infections (covid, flu, rsv) is going through the roof. Luckily we have a simple, low tech, relatively inexpensive tool for this: indoor masking.
The risk of severe disease with #COVID varies for each person.
With so much COVID circulating, continue to mask up to protect yourself and others.

This makes me sad. We could have, should do better. We have a responsibility to those around us, to those in our community, and country to keep them safer.
Per capita covid deaths in Canada have now surpassed deaths in the UK. I think they will likely continue to rise for some time now, notwithstanding efforts to make them fall via accounting tricks.
“Enough already, I am done with COVID”. I promise you however done with COVID you are, HCWs are done 1000 fold. We are seeing more kids with COVID in hosp + PICU, needing breathing tubes + ventilators, so guess what…we don’t get to be done with COVID , it’s not done with us.
/1 Hi Lucy and your colleagues.
Your advocacy toolkit contains poorly sourced, contexted, and biased information on mental health during the pandemic/schooling.
And I have receipts too!

/1 Good morning Ontario! I made a helpful new slide for the Ontario Science Table, based off of the new JAMA publication of Ontario data. They really enjoy correlating things to screen time so I thought "less kids harming themselves or overdosing" might help.
Ordered a special dinner for my son and me from @SkipTheDishes It never arrived. Skip’s solution was to give me half my money back in Skip credits. Really? So you’re taking half my money for something I didn’t receive? Not ok.
