@iheartauthority @RonronPathSafe @campbell1187@ezralevant Vaccine is less effective against omicron strain. And?
FYI immunity reduces over time so you need boosters (like flu jabs) and the virus mutates to escape immunity so you need boosters (like flu jabs) before you start talking about that too!
@iheartauthority @RonronPathSafe @campbell1187@ezralevant They do - I have already provided you with the link to the ONS data.
You have a belief, and are then ignoring the data that disproves it.
@iheartauthority @campbell1187@ezralevant It reduces your chance of death by something like 90% after 1st dose (see the data I linked) and closer to 99% after 2 doses.
How is that not great?
@iheartauthority @campbell1187@ezralevant It prevented the death of thousands of people through the protection it has provided. I don't get your anti-vax stance here.
@iheartauthority @campbell1187@ezralevant No it wouldn't. Think. If 100% of people are vaccinated, 100% of cases would be in vaccinated people. 100%/100% =1. That doesn't mean the vaccine becomes ineffective. It means you've vaccinated everyone
The ratio is a measure of RELATIVE risk (vs the ratio for unvaccinated)
@iheartauthority @campbell1187@ezralevant No, those ratios show the relative risk of catching covid. Higher = more cases per person = most risk =bad.
The figures you quoted imply vaccines reduce risk of catching covid.
@iheartauthority @campbell1187@ezralevant No that's not the point ot vaccines. And that's the big misconception which confuses people.
The vaccines reduce risk of transmission (a bit) and illness and death (a lot).
Lockdown is getting off the motorcycle. Vaccines are the crash helmet.
@iheartauthority @campbell1187@ezralevant They provide excellent protection against severe illness and death, and some protection against transmission.
See table 1 here. High numbers = more deaths = bad. You're much more likely to die from Covid if you're unvaccinated

@ezralevant@ANTHONYBLOGAN Most people who get injured or killed in car accidents wear seatbelts.
Most motorcyclists who get injured or killed wear crash helmets.
Do you need more explanation?
@tdubisMerino@johnpavlovitz I get that maybe:
- he shouldn't have gone down there. But that's kind of victim blaming, like saying "why did she wear that tight dress she was asking for it"
- if he didn't have a gun noone would have died. Yes, but that's a US gun law problem not his personal fault.
@tdubisMerino@johnpavlovitz I don't get it. What should he have done once he was in that situation?
He was trying to run away. People were chasing him. He got stamped on the face. Someone pelted a rock at his head, then hit him over the head with a skateboard.
@FinalWIDad@ScottWalker Jesus man. Can you not use the search bar on YouTube? Watch the prosecution video too if you want.
Just base your opinion on the facts of what happened. There are videos of the shootings shown in the trial too.
