This is the last call of Maulana Tousif Raza Mazhari, and it directly challenges the “accident” narrative.

In the recording, he is heard telling his wife that drunk men in the train had caught him, were abusing and beating him, and he repeatedly asked her to call the police for help. He also says there were people in the compartment, but no one was intervening.

These are not the words of a man who accidentally fell off a train. This is a man describing his own assault in real time.

Do Not Support the Waqf Amendment Bill –All India Muslim Personal Law Board President Appeals to MP's

New Delhi : April 01, 2025

All India Muslim Personal Law Board has appealed to all secular political parties, including BJP’s allies and members of Parliament, to strongly oppose the Waqf Amendment Bill and to not vote in its favour under any circumstances.

The President of the All India Muslim Personal Law Board, Maulana Khalid Saifullah Rahmani, has appealed to all secular parties and members of Parliament to not only strongly oppose the Waqf Amendment Bill when it is presented in Parliament tomorrow but also to vote against it to prevent the BJP’s communal agenda. He stated that this bill is not only based on discrimination and injustice ,but also directly contradicts the provisions of fundamental rights under Articles 14, 25 and 26 of the Indian Constitution.
He further stated that through this bill, the BJP aims to weaken Waqf laws and pave the way for the seizure and destruction of Waqf properties. Even with the existence of the Places of Worship Act, the issue of searching for temples in every mosque is continuously escalating. If this amendment is passed, there will be a surge in illegitimate governmental and non-governmental claims on Waqf properties, making it easier for Collectors and District Magistrates to seize them.

The Board President further said in his appeal that these amendments would lead to the abolition of Waqf by-user, the removal of exemptions from the Law of Limitation, the inclusion of non-Muslim members in Waqf Boards and the Central Waqf Council and the reduction of the powers of the Waqf Tribunal—changes that would effectively strip Waqf properties of their legal protections. Additionally, the inclusion of government entities (central and state governments, municipal corporations, and semi-autonomous bodies) in this Act, along with the provision for government claims to be resolved by Collectors or District Magistrates instead of the Waqf Tribunal, is an amendment that would legitimize governmental encroachment on Waqf properties. It is also necessary to mention that these protections are granted to religious endowments of other communities as well and thus, exclusively targeting Muslim Waqf properties is an act of discrimination and injustice.

Maulana Rahmani further stated in his appeal that our country is globally recognized for Hindu-Muslim brotherhood and for mutual respect for each other's religions, customs and festivals. However, unfortunately, the power of the nation is currently in the hands of those who seek to destroy this atmosphere of communal harmony and create anarchy and chaos.

I expect you and your party will strongly oppose the Waqf Amendment Bill 2024 when it will be tabled in the parliament tomorrow and will not disappoint lakhs of Muslim citizens across the nation, who have faith in you and whom you represent. In anticipation of your positive action.

वक़्फ़ संशोधन विधेयक को सपोर्ट न करें – ऑल इंडिया मुस्लिम पर्सनल लॉ बोर्ड के अध्यक्ष की संसद सदस्यों से अपील

नई दिल्ली, 01 अप्रैल 2025

ऑल इंडिया मुस्लिम पर्सनल लॉ बोर्ड ने सभी सेक्युलर राजनीतिक दलों, जिनमें बीजेपी की सहयोगी पार्टियाँ और सांसद भी शामिल हैं, से अपील की है कि वे वक़्फ़ संशोधन विधेयक का पुरज़ोर विरोध करें और किसी भी हाल में इसके पक्ष में मतदान न करें।

ऑल इंडिया मुस्लिम पर्सनल लॉ बोर्ड के अध्यक्ष मौलाना खालिद सैफुल्लाह रहमानी ने देश की सभी सेक्युलर पार्टियों और संसद सदस्यों से अपील की है कि जब कल संसद में वक़्फ़ संशोधन विधेयक पेश किया जाए तो वह न केवल इसका पुरज़ोर विरोध करें बल्कि इसके खिलाफ़ मतदान करके बीजेपी के सांप्रदायिक एजेंडे को नाकाम बनाएं। उन्होंने कहा कि यह विधेयक न केवल भेदभाव और अन्याय पर आधारित है बल्कि भारतीय संविधान के मौलिक अधिकारों से संबंधित अनुच्छेद 14, 25 और 26 के सीधे खिलाफ़ भी है।

उन्होंने आगे कहा कि बीजेपी इस विधेयक के ज़रिए वक़्फ़ क़ानून को कमजोर करना चाहती है और वक़्फ़ संपत्तियों को हड़पने तथा नष्ट करने का रास्ता साफ़ करना चाहती है। वैसे भी प्लेसेस ऑफ़ वर्शिप एक्ट की मौजूदगी के बावजूद हर मस्जिद में मंदिर ढूंढने का मामला लगातार तूल पकड़ रहा है। यदि यह संशोधन पारित हो गया तो वक़्फ़ संपत्तियों पर सरकारी और गैर-सरकारी अवैध दावों की बाढ़ आ जाएगी और कलेक्टर तथा डीएम के माध्यम से इन्हें हड़पना आसान हो जाएगा।

बोर्ड के अध्यक्ष ने अपनी अपील में आगे कहा कि इन संशोधनों के ज़रिए वक़्फ़ बाई यूज़र (Waqf by-user) की समाप्ति, लिमिटेशन एक्ट से छूट को खत्म किया जाना, वक़्फ़ बोर्ड और सेंट्रल वक़्फ़ काउंसिल में गैर-मुस्लिम सदस्यों को शामिल करना तथा वक़्फ़ ट्रिब्यूनल की शक्तियों को कम किया जाना—ये सभी बदलाव वक़्फ़ संपत्तियों को मिलने वाले संरक्षण को समाप्त कर देंगे। इसके अलावा, इस एक्ट में केंद्र और राज्य सरकार, नगर निगम और अर्ध-स्वायत्त संस्थाओं की भागीदारी तथा सरकारी दावों का निपटारा वक़्फ़ ट्रिब्यूनल के बजाय कलेक्टर या डीएम के माध्यम से किया जाना, एक ऐसा संशोधन है जो वक़्फ़ संपत्तियों पर सरकार के अवैध कब्ज़े को वैधता प्रदान करेगा। यह भी बताना ज़रूरी है कि ये सभी संरक्षण देश में अन्य धर्मों की वक़्फ़ संपत्तियों को भी प्राप्त हैं, इसलिए केवल मुस्लिम वक़्फ़ संपत्तियों को निशाना बनाना भेदभाव और अन्याय है।

मौलाना रहमानी ने अपनी अपील में आगे कहा कि हमारा देश हिंदू-मुस्लिम भाईचारे और एक-दूसरे के धर्म, रीति-रिवाजों और त्योहारों के सम्मान के लिए पूरी दुनिया में जाना जाता है। लेकिन दुर्भाग्यवश, इस समय देश की बागडोर उन तत्वों के हाथ में है जो इस सांप्रदायिक सौहार्द्र को नष्ट करके देश में अराजकता और अशांति पैदा करना चाहते हैं। मुझे आपसे और आपकी पार्टी से पूरी उम्मीद है कि कल आप बीजेपी के इस सांप्रदायिक एजेंडे को विफल कर देंगे।
