Thanks for inviting me to participate in a session today about Nutritional Management of Pressure Injuries in SCI population as part of the ISCoS Nutritional SIG Preconference meeting.
Anticipation is building for tomorrow’s pre-conference nutrition SIG study day. A wide variety of designations represented as international representation. It is going to be an amazing day. See you in tomorrow. #iscos2025@SamfordWong
This research addresses an important nutrition gap in SCI/D research. Using eDelphi, the authors are building expert consensus to develop a standardised nutrition dataset aimed at improving health outcomes.

The ISCoS Nutrition SIG is going from strength to strength at the 2024 conference in Antwerp. Here are some of the highlights so far #iscos2025@SamfordWong@NSICStokeMand
The next nutrition SIG meeting will be happening on 23rd September from 14:00 - 15:30. If you can attend ISCoS 2024 in Belgium in person it will be held in Pelican Room 1, Flanders Meeting and Convention Centre. Hope to see you there
Paediatric and adolescent health is a theme for #ISCoS2024.
Prof Lawrence Vogel explains the difference in caring for SCI in children and adolescents, "Compared to adult-onset SCI, youth with SCI have a longer lifespan during which they may sustain secondary health conditions and subsequently have to live with these secondary health conditions for a longer time. In general, youth with SCI are cared for by an interdisciplinary team with a family-centred approach, so a major component in caring for youth with SCI is the transition process to adulthood that must encompass the different healthcare delivery systems for adults with SCI.
Youth with SCI are not small adults but rather a unique population that requires precise and compassionate care by well-educated and trained health care providers."
You still have time to submit your late-breaking research for ISCoS 2024.
