It is unacceptable to allow islamophobe anti-Muslim actions.

Muslims around the world strongly condemn the Swedish government for protecting hate crimes. Every disrespect is a crime against humanity. We will continue to fight against these cursed acts in the strongest way possible on all political and legal grounds.

Islam is a religion of peace and Muslims, including in Pakistan, believe in respecting all religions. These principles must be supported by everyone.

We urge them to be mindful of the sentiments of the people of Pakistan and the Muslims worldwide and take steps to prevent Islamophobic acts.

Condemning extremism is a collective responsibility. The world must uphold its obligations to reject bigotry and Anti-Muslim violence.

The desecration of the Quran in Sweden is another example of the rising Islamophobic mindset that seeks to dehumanise and denigrate our faith. It is an act of blatant provocation to try inflame sentiments and undermine Islam as a religion of peace, tolerance, and acceptance. Pakistan will be raising this issue at the UNHRC urgent debate in Geneva on behalf of the OIC Group on 11 July on the premeditated acts of desecration of Holy Quran.
