It has been several years with EMP now. We have been able to establish and interpret metagenome sequencing and enteropathogen surveillance with relevance to Pakistani, Bangladeshi and Tanzanian pregnant women, with and without malnutrition and identified several signatures of health and disease along with our partner @BucciVanni lab and @AKUPaediatrics IDRL with our star team @KabirFurqan @javairia_khalid @FatimaAziz110 #NaveedIqbal @Samiah__k and many others. Harnessing a microbiome more conducive to improved maternal health holds the power to tackle the resistant problems of FGR and prematurity in these geographies.
