Why Hindu unity is hard to achieve, Exhibit A:

1. Tamil Labs counters a neo-Buddhist trying to demean Hinduism's antiquity, with a harmless post about Sankara's opposition to Buddhists

2. Techie from a non-Sankara Sampradaya, ignores all context and swoops in with his gyaan about Sankara being a Prasanna Buddha and more subtle "remarks" about Sankara's guru as well.

3. Why should somebody make such remarks unprovokedly? You can bring in your philosophical remarks in a philosophical debate, but is this one?

4. What sort of mindset blinds one from seeing that this particular battle is one of Vaidika vs Avaidika sampradayas?
And if this is how even a founder/techie based out of US thinks, what is to say of the common man?

5. We blame Hindu kings of the past for infighting when the enemies were at the door, but we do the same thing in different ways today. We have lots to introspect and course correct.

Dr Swamy is no scholar in Tamil, and Tamil is perhaps the only Indian language that is capable of operating without other language influences. The fact of the matter is, Tamil grammarians and scholars never had any antagonism with Sanskrit and magnanimously accepted loan words from Sanskrit as Thisai Sol. It was a bidirectional exchange. Sanskrit also has loan words from pure Tamil. The magnanimity of Tamils must be respected and not to be overstepped.

Such irresponsible and provocative statements play right into the hands of language chauvinists. To hype up Sanskrit, there is no need to take digs at Tamil. Similarly, for one to be pro-Tamil, there is absolutely no need to be anti-Sanskrit. Those who indulge in such language supremacies do so for political gains and are two sides of the same coin.

North temples don't conduct pooja in Hindi, Andhra temples don't conduct pooja in Telugu, just as Muzlims don't conduct worship in Tamil. Worship language is rooted in respective scriptures. Have you seen a single Azhwar or Nayanmar diss Sanskrit like you guys are doing today? Why are you outraging on their behalf?

The Vedic mantras pre-date Sanskrit as a language itself, and their sounds are more important than their (later Sanskrit) meanings.

Watched #Dhurandhar2‌TheRevenge. Calling it propaganda, doesn’t do justice to this movie.

It is a sophisticated psy-op.

Aditya Dhar includes sequences(demonetization) that are openly aligned with BJP.

Dhurandhar uses Modi as a bait.

The usual suspects couldn’t resist the bait , and jumped to dismisss it as lazy propaganda - as expected. They sensed “victory” and amplified it, as expected. That’s how they were sucked into the chakravyuh.

Then the phase 2 started. It leverages 2 psychological phenomena

1. Cunningham’s law
2. Generation effect

Cunningham’s law - the best way to get the right answer on the internet is not to ask a question, but to post a wrong answer. This is because people aren’t motivated to search for truth, but they love to correct other people’s mistakes.

People tend to remember what they unearth, better than what is fed to them. This is called Generation Effect (as the conclusion is “generated” from their own mind).

The viewers think “wait, is that real ? Let me search about it”. They ask “why are the critics only talking about what he said about Modi /DeMo ? What about the ruling government of the time ?”

That’s the chakravyuh pulling them in harder.
Deep within this chakravyuh (or rabbit hole if you will) is the kill -shot : Congress era NatSec debacles.

Gen Z which has the attention span of a gold fish gets hooked by a 3+ hour long bait. They then seek to debunk it for the thrill of proving something wrong. They set off on a truth-seeking adventure, they find Congress era rage fuel instead. They are shocked.

Sadly for the INDI folks, Dhurandhar might ideologically salt the young minds.

Dhurandhar didn’t seek to feed lies. It tricked people into searching for truth.

It’s the ultimate anti-propaganda.
