The new Scheduled section allows you to ask ChatGPT to schedule tasks, set reminders, create recurring prompts, or monitor for updates.
Here is how it works🧵
Personal branding is not the pursuit of the moment but the cultivation of permanence
Trends are temporal signals; values are enduring structures
Trust, consistency, and authenticity resist expiration, and brands anchored in them remain legible long after the noise subsides

The Reuters Institute @risj_oxford has released the Digital News Report 2026, and it confirms what many of us who follow digital trends have been observing: news consumption is becoming more platform-led, more creator-led, and more video-led.
Globally, social media and video networks have overtaken news websites and apps as the most widely used way of accessing online news. Across 48 markets, 54% of respondents now use social media and video networks for online news, compared to 51% who use news organisations’ own websites and apps.
This matters because it changes who shapes public attention.
In Kenya, the report captures something many of us are already seeing. WhatsApp remains a powerful channel for circulating political information, rumours, and mobilisation. TikTok and YouTube have become major entry points for news and current affairs, especially among younger audiences.
The format of news is also changing.
Short explainers, satire, livestreams, interviews, creator commentary, and shareable clips are now part of how people understand public issues. In many cases, audiences are not waiting for a newspaper front page or a TV bulletin. They are getting context from creators, activists, influencers, and digital personalities.
This is especially visible on X.
Political creators, activists, and Spaces hosts now operate almost like a parallel talk radio ecosystem. They convene audiences, interpret events in real time, shape narratives, and amplify angles before traditional media has even published a full story.
But this is happening at the same time legacy media is under financial pressure.
The report notes that delayed government advertising payments have affected major media houses, including Nation Media Group, Standard Group, and Mediamax. These pressures are contributing to newsroom cost-cutting and layoffs.
There is also a political layer to it. Some media and press freedom observers argue that government advertising and payment delays can be used to pressure outlets that publish critical coverage.
At the same time, the state is changing its communication strategy, with plans to allocate public funds to social media influencers to promote government initiatives.
Safe to say, Kenya’s news ecosystem is no longer just about media houses versus audiences. It is now a contest between newsrooms, creators, influencers, platforms, government communicators, algorithms, and public trust.

1️⃣ How will I measure conversation volume?
A hashtag with 100 mentions and one with 10,000 mentions tell very different stories.
2️⃣ How will I measure engagement?
Reach is good, but engagement tells you whether people actually care.

Before launching a campaign hashtag, ask yourself:
How will I know if it worked?
Many brands focus on creating hashtags.
Fewer focus on measuring them.

Many organisations are consistent on social media, but consistency alone is not performance.
Publishing 20 posts in a month does not automatically mean the strategy is working.
A digital marketing agency should help you look beyond output and ask better questions:
Are people engaging with the content?
Are the right audiences paying attention?
Is the content driving website visits?
Are enquiries or leads coming in?
Is the brand becoming more trusted and visible?
Posts are easy to count. Outcomes are what show whether social media is contributing to business growth.
