Pi released a deep-dive case study into the recent proof-of-concept project for a new Pi Node utility that supports decentralized AI training and computing tasks for third-parties using the spare computing capacity of over 421,000 Pi Nodes. In collaboration with OpenMind, a robotics startup invested in by Pi Network Ventures, this project showed that Pi Nodes can process AI-relevant workloads and return useful results quickly. The Auction is also now a Pi app instead of being embedded in Pi Wallet, enabling the deployment of more features. .pi Domains are meant to be functional Web3 identifiers for apps that are existing within the Pi ecosystem, and the Auction will evolve in parallel with the rollout of tools that support the ecosystem, which are being worked on and will be announced soon.
