@finlaybrannon@aDissentient@whippletom Irrelevant to the claim, you said they weren’t buying heat pumps and solar panels, I have demonstrated the rates of purchase are growing rapidly.
@finlaybrannon@aDissentient@whippletom In 2024, UK heat pump sales saw a significant increase, with over 98,000 units sold, a 63% rise compared to the previous year.
@nukka100@7Kiwi I don’t know for sure but I suspect that doesn’t work at a modern petrol station. And even if it did then the station wouldn’t allow it.
Alternatively - solar panel, alternator, charge EV. Job done.
@BrugesGroup A 2% reduction in sunlight would be more than enough to eliminate global warming. A 2% reduction in solar panel output is no big deal.
Your argument is seriously flawed.
@latimeralder So glad you agree that more warmth = less sea ice = less heat reflected from Earth = more warmth = less ice…
And so we burn.
Global warming is a dangerous, bonkers idea.
Promoted and approved by cranks.
@7Kiwi Blimey. Second worst? And yet it provides the vast majority of my electricity. Just imagine how good it would be in the second best country. Amazing endorsement for Solar. Thanks 🙏
@Johnsinc@ChrisManuell@latimeralder@ScottWi70066800 Exactly. The graph shows that countries with good hydro have cheap electricity. Latimer is trying to use smoke and mirrors to make the data say something that is not true.
@latimeralder Your graph is a lie. The 3 cheapest countries shown are cheap because they invested in hydro and nuclear. Remove those 3 and the graph says nothing about renewables vs cost. You. Are. A. Liar.
