@tomekzaw_ There isn’t a way to map CSS to anything that is available on iOS. Flexbox is not a thing there.
You could run yoga at 60 fps and have smooth resizing, yoga is not a blocker for that.
We're hiring! That's right, @reactjs is hiring a developer experience engineering manager in London. If you've got a relentless drive to deliver outstanding developer-first experiences, get in touch!

@CipolleschiR just published a post about New Renderer Interop Layer introduced in React Native 0.72. It makes it possible to use non-migrated libraries on the New Architecture.

So happy to have delivered my first talk for @reactnative and @MetroBundler! We're really happy to be back in the community and to be working hard on improving developer experience for React Native users.
@ospfranco Without knowing more about your setup, it is hard to tell what's going on. Is this a debug or optimised build? Has garbage collection ran? Where is the memory difference coming from? I would expect higher memory consumption with higher pixel density.
@sebastienlorber Precisely. We did a lot of perf testing during internal rollout to make sure it is ok in real-world usage. There were some perf wins but they were more modest.
We published benchmarks comparing the old and New React Native Architecture and made some improvements along the way! Read more about it at https://t.co/REn6EiZnqQ
@sebastienlorber The message in the benchmarks is trying to set performance expectations. If you migrate to the new arch, you are unlikely to see 20% performance boost in your app. For some specific use cases it could be better, like heavy bridge uses.
@sebastienlorber That's indeed confusing. 😅 The motivation page is trying to convey the message how we can share improvements among all platforms, like how View Flattening is now on iOS. There are other examples of improvements coming from VR to Android.
