@StumpyGoblin There's an argument to be made for both. Counter Strike used to have a big country-based tourney. Honestly it made for worse gameplay. Team training wasn't taken seriously since it was "only once" kinda thing

@dimitribosch With multiple server instances this would make cache less powerful and background jobs harder to maintain. But on one server, could be powerful. Local SQLite is quick.

Caching doesn't need backup IMO, but background jobs often do - at least to store job returns

@dimitribosch The main benefit of serverless is pay by usage.
If you have an endpoint that has very variable traffic, it's cheaper and less maintenance to run serverless. As always, depends on the usecase.

@Dafydd00 Really interesting writeup. I didn't expect the earnings to be that high for the teams. That being said, the Paris Major was the last CS:GO major, so that probably boosted stickers sales in a way we'll only see again for the first CS2 major.
