Hidden Treasure [#GuptaNidhulu] Cheating Racket busted by #Hyderabad Police, Arrested 4 Accused for allegedly #Cheating 11 people of around ₹1 crore, using Fake Gold Coins.

The sleuths of the Commissioner's Task Force, Shamshabad Zone, Hyderabad, in coordination with the Rajendra Nagar Police have successfully busted a racket involving cheating of innocent persons on the false pretext of locating hidden treasure (Gupta Nidhulu) buried beneath houses. In this connection, (04) four accused persons were apprehended, property was seized from their possession/at their instance.

The Accused Persons:-

1.Mohd Munawar @ Munna, (age 36 yrs), Occ: Painting and denting work, R/o Gudimalkapur, Hyderabad.

2.Syed Ali Ashraf, (age 40 yrs), Occ: Electrician, R/o Farhan Nagar, Jawahar Nagar, ECIL, Medchal-Malkajgiri Dist.,

3.Mohd Haji, (age 25 yrs), Occ: Auto Driver, R/o Balaji Nagar, Jawahar Nagar, ECIL, Medchal-Malkajgiri Dist.,

4.Mohd Salman, (age 29 yrs), Occ: Bike Mechanic, R/o Yadagiripally(V) Keesara(M), Medchal-Malkajgiri Dist.,

Seized :-

1. 02 Four wheelers.
2.01 Auto-Rickshaw
3.02 Motor cycles
4.04 Cell Phones.
5.25 - Duplicate Fake Gold Coins.
6.6 Kgs Coal
7. 4 Kgs - Soil

The prime accused Mohd Munawar was born and brought up Hyderabad. After completion of his studies he started car’s denting and painting work and earning money for his livelihood. However, as his income was not sufficient to meet his family expenses, he allegedly hatched a plan to cheat gullible persons by claiming that he had special knowledge and the ability to locate hidden treasure (Gupta Nidhulu) buried beneath their houses. Accordingly, Munawar contacted his friends namely Syed Ali Ashraf, Mohd. Haji and Mohd. Salman, and explained his plan to them. All of them agreed to join him in the illegal activity with an intention to earn easy money. The accused persons thereafter approached innocent and gullible people and represented that they possessed special knowledge and could locate hidden treasure buried underground in residential premises. After digging the ground, they planted a sack containing coal along with duplicate gold-coated coins. Further, the accused persons absconded from the place, stating that it would take some time to convert the coal into gold.

In this regard, a case has been registered in https://t.co/VxxG11iRaO. 916/2026, U/s 318(4), 351(2), 61(2) r/w 3(5) BNS of Rajendra Nagar PS, Hyderabad and being investigated.

Total 11 persons have been cheated in different areas and cash is around one crore.

APPEAL TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC:-
It has come to the notice of the Police that, in recent times, some fraudsters have been moving around streets, villages, and towns claiming that hidden/underground treasures (Gupta Nidhulu) are available at certain places and are cheating the gullible people by making false promises. Therefore, the Police hereby caution the general public not to believe or fall victim to such persons and their fraudulent activities. If any person is found indulging in such illegal or unlawful activities, the public is requested to immediately inform the Police.
