A masterclass in political essaying by @Dipankar_cpiml. It is refreshing to read a leader who genuinely wields his own pen with such profound clarity. His call for the INDIA bloc to ground its politics in grassroots movements—from the historic farmers' struggles to the defense of constitutional values—is a reminder that real democracy is built from the soil up. @cpimlliberation@cpimlpkc@RahulGandhi #Democracy #resistance #Secularism
Condemn the politically motivated arrest of Comrade Jitendra Paswan, CPI(ML) candidate from Bhore Assembly, #Bihar, immediately after he filed his nomination papers. This arrest, under fabricated charges, exposes the fear of the JDU–NDA government in the face of the rising assertion of the toiling masses and the people’s determination to change the government.
The ruling regime, unable to face the growing strength of people’s movements against the failed double-engine government, is resorting to repression and intimidation. False cases and arrests are being used as weapons to silence voices of resistance.
Just yesterday, CPI(ML) MLA Comrade Satyadeo Ram from Darauli was also arrested in a trumped-up case soon after filing his nomination.
These cowardly attempts to crush democratic opposition will not succeed.

CPI (ML) has been exposing the lies of the Election Commission of India (ECI) Bihar ‘VoteBandi’ SIR policy from the day it was imposed on the people of Bihar. Ground reports and ECI’s own statistics have shown how over 65 lakh people’s names have been deleted till date, with more deletions to follow once the document submission process ends.
The mass disenfranchisement is a blot on our Constitution and our democracy. Despite many letters and requests made, the ECI has not listed the reasons for the deletion of the names. This is the same pattern across various districts in Bihar. Despite filing complaints with district officials and state officials, the “complaints” column in the ECI press release fails to record these numbers. This only raises our suspicion that the effort of the ECI is to suppress the truth and present a picture that paints the opposition parties in a bad light.
CPI (ML) is sharing one such complaint filed by Amit Kumar Paswan, BLA-2 from Booth Number 152 (old) and 173 (new), 85-Bahadurpur Vidhan Sabha, Bihar, with the District Magistrate, Darbhanga, on 8th August 2025. The complaint is about the deletion of voters who are present in the village, yet their names have been removed from the SIR list without giving any reasons either to the people or to the BLAs. There are a total of 818 voters present in the booth. A total of 59 names were deleted from the draft SIR list out of these 818 voters. Out of these 59 people, CPI (ML) teams on the ground have identified 20 such people living in the same booth, whose presence has been physically verified. What is surprising about this deletion is that two people - MotiLal Yadav and Dhyani Yadav, serial numbers 1 and 10 in the complaint copy - had their names in the 2003 voter list, and yet they are part of the mass disenfranchisement done by the ECI.
These people, whose names have been deleted, are being forced by ECI officials to get their names included in the draft by filling Form 6, which is meant for new voters. CPI (ML) has been repeatedly raising this issue of how Form 6 is being forced on people whose votes have been deleted, leaving no mechanism to file complaints and thereby allowing the ECI to issue daily press releases showing zero complaints filed.
CPI (ML) demands the Election Commission of India to immediately put up the draft voter rolls, especially the names of deleted voters, specifying grounds for deletion (death, permanent migration, duplication, untraceability) in every panchayat for everyone to access.

Village: Dharaychak, Phulwari, Booth No.: 83 | CPIML ground teams are finding more and more names missing Bihar SIR, deleted without any valid reason.
At 70, Samkali Devi never imagined this day would come. Her husband’s and son’s names have already been struck off the rolls and now hers too has been deleted.

CPIML ground teams find more cases of voters marked as dead in #SIR but alive in #Bihar!
In just two booths of the Phulwari (SC) Assembly segment, 180 voters were 'deleted.' Alive and very much present in their own village, Dharaichowk, they were allegedly marked as 'dead,' 'untraceable,' or as having permanently migrated from Bihar.
