“Some stories should not be scrolled past. This is one of them.
Col Anurag Upadhyay scored in the 99th percentile in CAT. He could have chosen a corporate career. He chose the Indian Army instead.
He volunteered for the Special Forces, completed probation with 3 PARA (SF), and joined the raising team of 12 PARA (SF). Even after a heart attack in 2008, he returned to active duty.
In August 2025, he suffered a severe posterior circulation stroke. Today, he has Locked-in Syndrome. His body has been severely affected. His mind has not.
He is conscious and aware. He remembers. He thinks. Through eye movements and alphabet-based scanning, he communicates his thoughts. Further complications resulted in bilateral below-knee amputations.
This post is not asking for sympathy. It is asking for possibility.
His family knows what the medical literature says. They are not asking for promises. They believe no credible possibility should remain unexplored because the right expert was outside their network.
They seek connections to:
• Neurologists and neuro-rehabilitation specialists experienced in Locked-in Syndrome
• Rehabilitation centres focused on neurological recovery
• Researchers exploring recovery of movement, speech or other functions
• Research and emerging technologies, including brain-computer interfaces
• Eye-tracking and assistive technology that could give Anurag a more independent voice
• Veteran organisations or individuals who can open the right doors
Someone reading this may know a doctor who has treated a similar patient, a rehabilitation team that has seen a different outcome, a relevant researcher—or someone who can make the right introduction.

His prognosis should be determined by medicine and how his body responds—not by a lack of information, access or connections.
Please make a connection if you can. DM “Tales Of A Gypsy” on Instagram. If you cannot, share this until it reaches someone who can.
No sympathy. Just one question: What more is possible for Col Anurag ?
Let us help him find out”

Prayers 🙌For You- Brother Anurag ❤️

I am still becoming.

The Guru shows us the path.
Knowledge gives us the light.
Life teaches us how to walk.

[Sandeepan Das @SandeepanDas4]

Not every teacher enters our life carrying a book. In India’s ancient Gurukul tradition, education was never limited to acquiring knowledge. A Guru helped the student understand discipline, character, responsibility, humility and the deeper purpose of life.

[Sandeepan Das @SandeepanDas4]

Some through loss and some only when we finally become quiet enough to listen.

On this Teachers’ Day, I bow not only to the teachers and Gurus who shared their knowledge with me, but also to every experience, failure, relationship and realization that helped shape the person

We as a country got to get rid of our “cricket obsession” so that we can appreciate and celebrate our athletes’ accomplishments like this in the most spectacular way. What an incredible effort by our athletes here. Many congratulations to them and everyone who participated 🙏🇮🇳

Anything India achieves is an emotional moment for normal people like us. What a beauty 👏👏👏

What an elegant and beautiful way to depict our National Anthem! Beyond Goosebumps…

@Airtel_Presence Don’t get your bots to send me unnecessary messages that do not understand anything else I’ll file a legal complaint against you. You guys are unprofessional and I would need to change you as a service provider.

@airtelindia @Airtel_Services there has been an broadband connectivity issue in my area since last two days but still there is no resolution. It’s been more than 52 hours and I see no updates or resolution. When I called your customer care then they cannot help as well.

[Sandeepan Das @SandeepanDas4]

If only we common people spanning every category of society except our military(army, Air Force & navy) and other defense forces could ever dare to imagine the supreme sacrifices of our forces and defense staffs to keep us safe which allows us to do everything that we want to🙏

Heart-wrenching to watch the brave mother and wife break down.

Martyr Sepoy Janjal Pravin Prabhakar was posthumously awarded the Kirti Chakra for his extraordinary bravery, indomitable courage and supreme sacrifice in service to the nation. Salute!

The more I’m growing older, the more reflections I keep having for the past decisions that has shaped my life. Sometimes I just laugh at the way I reacted to certain things in the past and sometimes I feel awestruck with the sheer fearless attitude I had. #GrowingOlder #Wisdom

Rishikesh, Uttarakhand.

A donkey who once carried loads, served tirelessly, and asked for nothing in return… now stands abandoned, weak, and forgotten on the very streets he worked on his entire life.

No rest. No care. No dignity.

This is the fate of so many working animals in our country used until their bodies give up, then discarded like they never mattered. They spend years in silent service, bearing weight, pain, and exhaustion… only to be left alone when they need us the most.

Look into his eyes there is no anger, just quiet suffering… and a question we refuse to answer.

Is this how we repay loyalty? Is this how we treat those who built our lives with their labour?

They don’t ask for much. Just food, care, and a dignified life after years of service.

We need stronger protection. We need accountability. We need compassion that doesn’t end when their usefulness does.

Please don’t look away. Raise your voice for them.

Payal Nag.

Daughter of a daily-wage mason from Odisha.
Electrocuted at the age of eight. Lost all four limbs.

And then, found a bow.

Spotted through her paintings by coach Kuldeep Vedwan, the same man who shaped world champion Sheetal Devi.

Defeated her idol Sheetal Devi at the World Para Archery Series Final in Bangkok, April, 2026

Whenever I am feeling low or sorry for myself I will look at these images of Payal & Sheetal again & remind myself what the words: Courage, Resilience & Positive thinking, really mean.

These champions are not just my #MondayMotivation.

They will be a source of motivation Every. Single. Day
