Particle physics against Covid! With a team from SLAC/Stanford we have designed, built and tested a low-cost, easy to manufacture and reliable ventilator. Newly released video: https://t.co/GYejJUKAk1 and paper: https://t.co/NJDGsRdW7l
nEXO Collaborator and @drexelu PhD candidate Brady Eckert shared his work on the evaluation of Bremsstrahlung Models at #APSDNP this morning! Bremsstrahlung or “braking” radiation is an important mechanism involved in beta decays and crucial for nEXO’s background model.
Undergraduate research highlight: nEXO collaborator Barkotel Zemenu from @yalewrightlab presented his research on outgassing measurements of nEXO materials last night at #APSDNP!
@APSphysics
Join us for the double beta decay sessions at the APS DNP meeting to learn more about nEXO detector physics!!
See the schedule below for the talks happening today and tomorrow. #nEXO#APSDNP
Every 10 years or so, the US particle physics community comes together to define the future of their field in a process called Snowmass. One of our collaborators, @SanderBreur, worked with others on making this process more accessible: https://t.co/pZ9oJRjJiw

This Wednesday, March 16, nEXO physicists discuss 'Women in STEM' in a panel organized by Associated Students of Skyline College (ASSC) and Science in Action.

This one took a bit of effort - but it's finally on the @arxiv. Thanks to @kaassamagan@SanderBreur @AmberRoepe @chiphyrunner (and others I cannot find) for the effort in putting it all together. #autocraptions 1/n

Hello World! This is my 1st tweet and I am excited to share with you our science and our people. Here I will update you about new results, the life and achievements of scientists, and so much more. What would you like to know?

SLAC scientists have completed work on a low-cost emergency ventilator that could help save lives of patients suffering from COVID-19. Licenses of the technology are now being made available royalty-free through @Stanford. https://t.co/WuFJaeAS9g
We are now looking for companies to build and distributes these ventilators around the world. Please contact Stanford's office of technology licensing: https://t.co/1DuWd51wuE #spreadtheword#ventilator#covid

Happy to be part of "The local dark sector" - a Voyage 2050 White Paper to probe gravitation's low acceleration regime in the Solar System neighbourhood and hopefully the local density of dark matter (lead proposer is Joel Bergé): https://t.co/LSopt38oH7
I love this. The filling of liquid argon (about -186 degrees C) in #ProtoDUNE can be seen in this time lapse from @CERN: https://t.co/fEtO0vGcGF Just google how big this thing is! @DUNEScience is amazing. #DualPhase
For the first time, we observed the two-neutrino double electron capture process in 124-Xe with @Xenon1T data, with an incredibly long half-life of 1.8 x 10^22 years. This half-life is many orders of magnitude larger than the age of our Universe, which is about 1.4 x 10^10 years.
