मुंबई के बड़े कपड़ा व्यापारी शिवचरण रामरत्न गुप्ता, 74 साल,पिछले 3 साल से सोनीपत के वृद्धाश्रम में थे।
2 साल पहले उनकी पत्नी का भी यहीं निधन हुआ था।

मंगलवार को जब आश्रम ने मौत की सूचना दी,तो उनकी तीनों बेटियों ने जवाब भेजा:"5100 रुपये ऑनलाइन भेज रहे हैं।अंतिम संस्कार सोनीपत में ही करवा दीजिए।

मुखाग्नि के समय वीडियो कॉल कर दीजिए, हम देख लेंगे।

आश्रम संचालक आनंद कुमार के अनुसार: जिन हाथों ने पाला-पोसा, पढ़ा-लिखाकर टीचर बनाया...आज वो हाथ पिता को कंधा देने नहीं आए।वाह रे मेरे देश के लोगों की सोच 😢

गया जी (बिहार) से एक हैरान कर देने वाला मामला सामने आया है, जहाँ कोच प्रखंड के छतीहर जमालपुर विद्यालय के बच्चों ने हिम्मत दिखाकर स्कूल प्रशासन की पोल खोल दी है।।।

छात्रों का आरोप है कि जहाँ एक तरफ वे किताबों के बिना पढ़ाई करने को मजबूर हैं, वहीं दूसरी तरफ स्कूल की प्रभारी द्वारा बच्चों को बांटी जाने वाली सरकारी किताबों को कबाड़ में बेचा जा रहा था।।।

बच्चों ने जब किताबों से भरी बोरियां कबाड़ी वाले के टेंपो में लादे जाते देखा, तो चुप बैठने के बजाय तुरंत अपने फोन से इसका लाइव सबूत (वीडियो) बना लिया। वीडियो में साफ देखा जा सकता है कि किस तरह नई नवेली सरकारी किताबें बोरियों में भरकर बेची जा रही हैं।।।

छात्रों द्वारा बनाया गया यह वीडियो अब सोशल मीडिया पर तेजी से वायरल हो रहा है। बच्चों के इस साहसिक कदम की हर तरफ तारीफ हो रही है और लोग स्कूल प्रशासन व दोषी अधिकारियों पर सख्त कार्रवाई की मांग कर रहे हैं।।।

क्या ऐसे बढ़ेगा देश, जब बच्चों के हक की किताबें कबाड़ में बिकेंगी???

Subject: Complaint regarding absence of CCTV surveillance outside Cama Road Mumbai Public School, Andheri West, and request for immediate review of children's safety arrangements

Respected Sir/Madam,

I am writing to bring to your attention an important issue concerning the safety and security of children studying at Cama Road Mumbai Public School, Andheri West, Mumbai.

It has been brought to our notice by an alert parent and local resident, Mr. Jamil Shaikh, whose child is studying at the school, that there is reportedly no CCTV camera inside the school and also covering the road outside the school and/or the approach area near the school gate.

A large number of students, parents, teachers, school staff and local residents use this area every day. In view of the regular movement of children, proper surveillance around the school premises and its access points is important from a public safety perspective.

CCTV surveillance can help in monitoring suspicious activities, traffic-related incidents, accidents, emergencies and other untoward incidents in the vicinity of the school. It can also assist the concerned authorities in investigating any incident that may occur in the area.

We understand that the Government of Maharashtra and the concerned Education Department have issued various guidelines and Government Resolutions (GRs) from time to time regarding school safety and security arrangements. In this regard, we respectfully request the concerned authorities to verify whether the existing CCTV and security arrangements around the school comply with the applicable safety requirements.

We therefore request the authorities to:

1. Conduct an immediate inspection of the area outside Cama Road Mumbai Public School.
2. Review the existing CCTV surveillance and overall security arrangements around the school.
3. Check whether CCTV coverage is available at the school entrance, surrounding road and important approach/exit points.
4. Install additional CCTV cameras at appropriate locations if the authorities find that existing surveillance is inadequate.
5. Coordinate between the BMC, Mumbai Police and the concerned Education Department, wherever necessary, to strengthen security around the school.
6. Take appropriate preventive measures to ensure the safety of students, parents, teachers and school staff.

This complaint is not intended to make any allegation against the school, any individual or any particular department. It is being submitted solely as a matter of public concern regarding the safety of children and to request the competent authorities to examine the situation.

We therefore request you to kindly look into the matter at the earliest and take appropriate action, if required.

We would also appreciate it if the concerned authority could inform us about the action taken following the inspection.
