Can this happen without a sporting culture ?

Infact not many people would know but the first time cricket in the subcontinent was played in Khambhat ( Englishman’s pronounced it as Cambay ) few centuries ago, when the English crew of a waiting ship played the game.

India, unlike, many western paradigms cannot be analysed in black and white, in linear equations or algorithms. It has to be felt, embraced and understood.

Requesting a fair review of the CCTV footage and the circumstances at the check-in counter. We were present in queue before counter closure and hope for a just resolution.

@IndiGo6E Extremely disappointed with how we were treated today at Ahmedabad Airport for our flight from Ahmedabad to Dehradun.

Timeline:
• 5:00 AM - Reached airport
• Self check-in kiosk not working
• Waited ~20 mins in long queue
• Counter closing time 5:20 AM
• 5:25 AM - Reached counter, sent to another counter
• Denied check-in & told to reschedule by paying ₹3,000 per passenger

When airlines delay flights, passengers are expected to adjust. But when passengers are just 5 minutes late to the counter - despite being at the airport on time and already in queue - this is the response?

This is unfair and extremely disappointing, especially while traveling with my father. Expect better accountability.

With due respect, this response does not address the actual issue.

We did not “report after counter closure.”
We were at Ahmedabad Airport at 5:00 AM and stood in the check-in queue for ~20 minutes before reaching the counter at 5:25 AM.

If required, please check the CCTV footage of the check-in area - it will clearly show we were in queue before the 5:20 AM counter closing time.

Passengers already standing in queue should not be penalized for long lines or non-functional kiosks.

Requesting a proper review of this case and refund of the additional charges incurred. @DGCAIndia @MoCA_GoI

Update:

We had no choice but to reschedule the flight and paid ₹6,000 extra.

Because of this forced change, we also had to cancel our return ticket and book a new one - leading to additional unexpected expenses.

This entire situation happened despite us reaching Ahmedabad Airport at 5:00 AM and standing in the check-in queue on time.

A 5-minute delay at the counter cost us thousands. This is extremely unfair and needs resolution. @IndiGo6E
