Clarifying my point last night, as messages I've received today indicate some people seem to have misunderstood my point.

I am not suggesting I BELIEVE the suspect was on the phone or a two-way radio or bluetooth device or jumped in a car or ran to the library or anything else.

I gave a dozen or more options of what could have happened. It could have been any of them or others I couldn't think of. (And I tried to think of everything.)

My point is WE CANNOT KNOW what he did because the video has been selectively clipped and edited to remove significant portions. Minutes are missing from within crucial segments. Portions are clipped when the suspect is still in the frame in others.

And in the darkness, the mind runs wild. It speculates. It tries to fill in the gaps. It guesses as to why footage is mysteriously clipped, why minutes are missing, and why it abruptly ends with the suspect still very much in view.

It is not unlike the Bagley body worn camera footage that "just happened" to cut off right before the miraculous discovery of the screwdriver. Was the screwdriver placed there after the fact? Was it there at all? We can't know. And because we can't know. The mind runs wild with speculation.

With the security footage, it's even worse. The battery didn't "die," as we're told happened to Bagley. They just clipped it up without explanation.

Why was he standing at the top of a stairwell for over a minute, and why was critical footage of him standing there clipped from the middle? Did he text someone? Make a phone call? Did a car pull up and talk to him? Maybe all of the above. We can't know.

If you tell us he screwed the rifle together on the roof, why was the footage clipped that would have shown him doing that?

If you tell us he ran into the woods, why can't we see what you saw? Why can't we see the rest of the footage until he leaves the frame?

Don't blame me for having a curious mind. And don't blame me for coming up with dozens of possibilities for what could have happened in those missing minutes.

For all we know, he flew a drone on that roof, made a phone call, pulled out a two-way radio, and met with co-conspirators up there to have a sandwich before making his way to the edge of the roof.

He didn't? Then why did you clip the video?

For all we know, he jumped in a getaway car that picked him up on the side of the road after the video is clipped of him just standing there after scaling down the Losee Center.

The only way regime change at the Fed will reduce inflation is if we also get regime change in Congress and the White House. Monetary and fiscal policy have worked hand in glove to create the inflation that plagues the economy. Ending it requires huge cuts to government spending.

Proving it’s business as usual at the Fed, Warsh repeated the false claim that the Fed should refrain from speaking about fiscal policy. Deficit spending is a major driver of the high inflation Warsh claims the Fed is trying to fight. It’s part of the Fed’s job to criticize it.

The most frustrating part of Warsh’s testimony was his failure to hold Congress accountable for its contribution to the inflation problem. By allowing members to complain about inflation without pointing out their role in creating it, Warsh did a disservice to the nation.

The biggest problem with Warsh hearing is discussing inflation without a clear understanding of what the word means. If you incorrectly define inflation as rising prices instead of an expansion of the supply of money and credit, any discussion that follows becomes meaningless.
