@SCUDERIAFEMBOY Same tech used in radiators. To keep something cooler than before. At least it reduce the risk for someone else. You are responsible to your own body. If he doesn't used it, just keep the opinion to himself, no need to downplay others. Everyone knows their own limit.
i kind of hate lando for madrid bc that was genuinely the most unexpected lando pole i’ve ever witnessed but now my standards are sky high that even when they’re slow i expect him to work miracles.. i’m turning into mclaren
Think about how much 2 tenths is irl. In a circuit where there's 2 straights a very small detail can make you lose some time on those even if it's just a 1kph top-speed loss. So, yes, "small quantities" and "average lap time loss of 1-2 tenths" fits on the same sentence.
andrea stella explains lando's recurring straightline speed issue, costing him 'possibly between one and two tenths of a second':
"i think more precisely we should say that the issue we see on lando's car is about a lack of straightline speed. so we see that in the power limited section, the car accelerates a little less and develops a little bit less top speed, all the other parameters being the same. we talk about probably between one and two kilometres per hour, they are small quantities, and they are even difficult to see. as soon as lando, for instance, has a little bit of slipstream from a car 4 seconds ahead, now you see lando faster than the other car."
"it's a small quantities but that we see statistically and we should more precisely talk about the deficit of straightline speed, which we can quantify in a lap time loss that i would say in excess of one tenth of a second, possibly between one and two tenths of a second."
"a different conversation is about why that is and while we can talk immediately about a lack of power, in reality there can be different reasons. as you say, it's in a way more difficult to monitor what is happening from a power unit point of view, because if it was deployment we would be able to see it, possibly has to do with some other parameters."
"but at the same time there's the areas of the power unit that depend on what's happening on the chassis side and finally there could be parameters that have to do with the drag of the car."
"at no point we are making a point about power unit, we are just making a point about a lack of straightline speed which we want to make a point about - because it's fair to lando that we take the responsibility for the fact that on his car there's a lap time deficit which at the moment we have not been able to remove in a couple of events."
"but obviously we are definitely looking at all the possible parameters and we will look at further changes but we only can do that now for singapore."
