@implausibleblog Problem with this is that the U.K. is interconnected with the European power market via cables- so if Europe is paying more for electricity our renewables generators will sell there rather than at lower prices here in the U.K… Once all of Europe is on renewables, however…

@DavidHenigUK I’m pretty convinced that they *do* get this, but that for optics they need to present it as British laws for British people. The fact that these British laws will be exact copies of those made elsewhere will be nothing but a “coincidence”.
