In @LBHF council have removed 15K vehicles from our LTNs which means our traffic travels along much longer routes too. Islington it’s only between 6.8K and 12K vehicles per day https://t.co/O0xNJvFLyQ No wonder pollution is worse. Sign the petition https://t.co/T18sryH8wK
Another day, another horrendous accident on Wandsworth Bridge Road. Please sign the petition to show @TfL @Heidi_Labour that these dangerous objects must be removed. When will @ChelFulhamBen take his job seriously and get involved? https://t.co/ldrjM7cqUH
More god tier cycling infrastructure erected by the Labour council on our old friend the Wandsworth Bridge Road. Easy to miss in the dark and get thrown in front of moving traffic by the angles here.
These misguided efforts to turn WBR into an obstacle course must stop.
Groundhog day in SW London during half term. Traffic will get a lot worse if @TfL let @LBHF narrow strategic London route Wandsworth Bridge Road. TFL have stopped the works for now. Add your voice to the 3000+ who have signed the petition https://t.co/b7bDofs7Yw
Petition gathering pace and will go through 3000 tomorrow. No public consultation just hundreds of complaints that have been ignored. Sign and share to let @TfL know what you think.
Here’s a couple of reasons why people are signing
https://t.co/b7bDofs7Yw
When Labour announced VAT on private school fees, they promised it would raise £1.7 billion for state schools.
With 25,000 pupils already forced out, eight times more than predicted, the policy is on track to cost taxpayers money rather than raise it.
A thread🧵
https://t.co/JB0YJJWHow Petition moving towards 900. Hundreds signing from H&F of course but also Wimbledon Wandsworth Putney Barnes Chiswick Balham Battersea and more are signing too @TFL@Heidi_Labour please note and make Wandsworth Bridge Road a strategic route again
Enough is Enough. @LBHF told us Wandsworth Bridge Road is going to ‘meander’! Sign the petition https://t.co/NE4ReyrMY7 to tell @TfL and @Heidi_Labour that you don’t want SW London clogged up by interference with the layout of a London Strategic Road
Last week the Times exposed how TfL & Rachel Aldred's Active Travel Unit at Westminster University tried to bury the news that LTNs don't cut car use.
Aldred has got form. Over the next few days we will highlight some of the dodgy things she has done
Today: her LTN health study
Good letter in today's Times from Ann Jones who points out that the most effective way of TfL reducing car use in Outer London is by investing in public transport rather than LTNs which don't cut car use, as revealed in the report TfL tried to bury.
Putney residents unleash damning legal challenge over traffic nightmare https://t.co/jnvMg2YyhB via @PutneyNews.
@LBHF@TfL please note. WBR is also a London strategic Road. Where is the expeditious movement of traffic?
In @LBHF S Fulham LTNs imposed on us after deliberately flawed consultation which breached Market Research Society guidelines. Congestion and pollution increased as a result and now we learn @TfL suppressed important data. @Heidi_Labour time to step in
Lambeth and Wandsworth are two neighbouring South London boroughs. Wandsworth has put in no recent LTNs. Lambeth has gone big on them. But it is Wandsworth that is performing better on just about every traffic metric.
TfL suppressed report showing LTNs don’t cut car use
https://t.co/BbMw486prF
What a surprise. LTNs don’t reduce car usage. TfL have tried to suppress the report. Who could’ve seen that coming? 🤦♂️
@CameraTraffic
@in_my_30s@CameraTraffic@LBHF@Heidi_Labour Worst one has to be the one blocking line of sight as you try to pull out of studdridge rd onto Wandsworth bridge road. Stupid & dangerous, much like @ChelFulhamBen the architect of this madness
100s of objections to @LBHF proposals to narrow WBR, build 4 raised zebra crossings and clog 11 out of 18 side streets with cycle parking bays. Anyone can email traffic.orders@ https://t.co/lpACT6KFJZ by tonight 6 Aug. This resident wants you to know what they think
Chair @CameraTraffic has sent an email to members concerning planned work on Wandsworth Bridge Road commencing 18 Aug and the right of everyone to express their views to @LBHF by emailing [email protected] To see the content go to Fulham Traffic Watchdog on Facebook
16 Jul @LBHF proposed cycle bay parking orders in 11 of 18 streets off WBR. By law any person has 3 wks to 6 Aug to write to [email protected] to object.
@FlorianCheVerdi doesn’t leaflet residents until 25 Jul to let them know
@StephenCowan doesn’t care what you think
