So proud of you my good friend/brother, @brianhughes. I know that there are guardian angels smiling down on their own personal #Rocketman.

Paralyzed from the neck down, Jake Rogers told his mother of a vision: there was a version of him that was still physically healthy, still studying abroad to become a doctor, still hiking mountains and sailing the seas.
And then he willed it into existence
But tragedy struck last week.
RIP, Jake. You were so young

🚨 JUST NOW — Q: "How do you manage working for somebody who NEVER sleeps, and in a White House that operates on Trump time?" 🤣
CHIEF OF STAFF SUSIE WILES: "Dan Scavino is a night owl — so we divide it. I get the early calls, Dan gets the late calls."

Former Texas A&M DT Albert Regis’ daughter, Akari, got to “pick” his draft spot this morning, and crawled to the Jaguars cup.
Hours later, Jacksonville picked Regis at No. 81 overall. 🔮
You asked… here it is.
When the call goes out “The Sheriff needs backup” it’s all hands on deck.
Inside a local hardware store, Sheriff T. K. Waters didn’t hesitate, he physically chased down a suspected shoplifter as the man tried to get away, alongside a retired detective.
The initial moments weren’t captured (the Sheriff doesn’t wear a body camera), but what happened next was. Within minutes, officers flooded the scene.
There may have been a brief look of surprise seeing the Sheriff already in the middle of it… but that didn’t last long.
The suspect, 40-year-old Raymond Pena, wasn’t just “shopping.” He was wanted on multiple shoplifting warrants and this encounter added to the list.
He was taken into custody and transported to the Duval County Jail.
Don’t steal. But especially don’t do it when the Sheriff is in the same store as you.
Welcome home Reid, Victor, Christina, and Jeremy! 🫶

Sheriff Waters stopped a theft in progress at a hardware store on Atlantic Boulevard this afternoon after a foot chase and struggle.
Sheriff Waters was picking up an order at customer service when a store employee flagged him down.
A man was attempting to leave the store with roughly $500 in merchandise. Sheriff Waters and a retired robbery detective chased the man. When the Sheriff tried to grab him by his sweatshirt, the man twisted away. The Sheriff pursued him to the edge of the parking lot, where he took him to the ground.
The man struggled to get away and resisted, but with the help of the retired detective, they were able to get him into handcuffs as shoppers cheered them on.
District 2 Patrol officers responded quickly and took over the investigation. The suspect has been identified as Raymond Pena, Jr. of Jacksonville (40). He is charged with theft and resisting. He also had two active warrants for theft.
“Just because I was elected sheriff doesn’t mean I’m no longer a policeman,” said Sheriff Waters, who recently cited a teenager for littering.
The Sheriff and detective were not injured in the scuffle. Sheriff Waters says he will always do what he can to protect the city.
“For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime; weeping may stay for the night, but joy comes in the morning.”
Have a Blessed Holy Saturday.

Last week, I was diagnosed with breast cancer.
Nearly one in eight women in the United States will face this diagnosis. Every day, these women continue to raise their families, go to work, and serve their communities with strength and determination. I now join their ranks.
I am grateful to have an outstanding team of doctors who detected the cancer early and are guiding my care, and I am encouraged by a very good prognosis.
I am also deeply thankful for the support and encouragement of President Trump as I undergo treatment and continue serving in my role as White House Chief of Staff.
