@Gisele_ShoeSmug @HazelAppleyard That’s fantastic. I knew a guy that had cancer treatments for 2.5 yr (plus hospitalizations, meds, etc) paid nothing. He couldn’t work he was so sick, no insurance. Medicaid paid it all.

@appealstoheaven @Gisele_ShoeSmug @HazelAppleyard Actually you’re (kinda) right. I paid more, not (a lot) more. I misspoke. The insurance paid 30k, hospital wrote off 100k, I was responsible for 20k. When I had 13k LEFT TO PAY, made that deal to pay 8k cash. So it was 15k total, not 13k.

@Gisele_ShoeSmug @HazelAppleyard I paid it off with a monthly payment, whatever I could afford, took a couple hrs. But also I was offered to have 8k removed if I paid the remaining balance. I took that offer. Total I laid was 13k in the end. Cheaper than a car.

@Gisele_ShoeSmug @HazelAppleyard It says RIGHT THERE: they die bc they delay or simply don’t go to the hospital. Dumb. No one dies in the US bc they don’t have insurance. I had a burst brain aneurism, only catastrophic insurance & the hospital wrote off 100k. The insurance only paid $30k. I was left w/20k debt.
