Zubair Shah Agha, a Central Committee member of the Pashtun Tahafuz Movement (PTM), was ABDUCTED in Quetta a short while ago along with two other PTM members after leaving a press conference organised by the Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC). The press conference had been held to protest what organisers described as the unjust life imprisonment sentence handed down to Mahrang Baloch.

Today marks 17 years since Dr. Deen Muhammad (Deen Jan) was allegedly subjected to enforced disappearance. A father of three, he was taken on this day, and his family still does not know where he is.

His case is one among many reported cases of enforced disappearances in Balochistan. We call on the international community, human rights organizations, and democratic governments to support independent investigations, demand accountability, and stand with the families who continue to seek truth and justice.

Baloch Voice for Justice strongly condemns the life imprisonment of BYC leaders. Today, their families addressed a press conference, reaffirming that these leaders have consistently pursued peaceful advocacy for justice, human rights, and an end to enforced disappearances in Balochistan.

The families rejected the convictions as a grave miscarriage of justice and emphasized that peaceful political activism must never be treated as a crime. Imprisoning those who speak for victims and their families is an attack on fundamental freedoms, the rule of law, and the right to dissent.

The families have announced a peaceful protest and called upon students, lawyers, journalists, human rights defenders, political activists, and people of conscience to stand in solidarity against these unjust sentences and demand justice.

Baloch Voice for Justice calls for the immediate release of all BYC leaders and urges the international community to take notice of the growing crackdown on peaceful political voices in Balochistan.

آج ہم کوئٹہ پریس کلب میں ڈاکٹر ماہ رنگ بلوچ اور شاہ جی صبغت اللہ کو سنائی گئی عمر قید کی سزا کے خلاف، جبکہ بی وائی سی (BYC) کے دیگر رہنماؤں کے خلاف قائم مقدمات کے حوالے سے ایک پریس کانفرنس کرنا چاہتے تھے لیکن ہمیں اس کی اجازت نہیں دی گئی۔ اس صورتحال کے بعد ہم نے صبر اور تحمل کا مظاہرہ کرتے ہوئے فیصلہ کیا کہ اپنی پریس کانفرنس کو کوئٹہ پریس کلب کے باہر بلوچ وائس فار بلوچ مسنگ پرسنز (VBMP) کے کیمپ میں ریکارڈ کریں گے۔

جیسے ہی ہم نے پریس کانفرنس کا آغاز کیا، پولیس اور ریاستی اداروں کی بھاری نفری وہاں پہنچ گئی اور ہماری پریس کانفرنس کو روکنے اور سبوتاژ کرنے کی کوشش کی۔ پی ٹی ایم کے سینیئر رہنما آغا زبیر شاہ کو ہماری آنکھوں کے سامنے ریاستی اداروں کے اہلکار زبردستی اپنے ساتھ لے گئے، جبکہ دو دیگر کارکنوں کو بھی پولیس نے بلاجواز گرفتار کیا۔ حراست میں لینے کے بعد سے ان کارکنوں کے بارے میں کوئی معلومات فراہم نہیں کی جا رہی اور ان کا تاحال کوئی پتہ نہیں ہے۔

ہم ریاست کو واضح پیغام دینا چاہتے ہیں کہ تشدد، دباؤ اور جبر کے ذریعے ہمارے عزم کو کمزور نہیں کیا جا سکتا اور نہ ہی ہمیں اپنے جمہوری و آئینی حق کے لیے آواز بلند کرنے سے روکا جا سکتا ہے۔ جتنا زیادہ ہماری آواز دبانے کی کوشش کی جائے گی، ہم اتنے ہی مضبوط عزم، زیادہ اتحاد اور منظم انداز کے ساتھ اپنی جدوجہد جاری رکھیں گے۔ ہم مطالبہ کرتے ہیں کہ آغا زبیر شاہ سمیت تمام گرفتار کارکنوں کو فوری طور پر رہا کیا جائے۔ بصورت دیگر ہم اس جبر اور ناانصافی کے خلاف اپنے آئینی اور جمہوری حق کے مطابق جدوجہد جاری رکھیں گے۔

یاد رہے کہ کل بروز 29 جون کو کوئٹہ میں ہم ایک پُرامن احتجاجی مظاہرہ منعقد کرنے جا رہے ہیں۔ ہم کوئٹہ کے تمام طبقۂ فکر سے تعلق رکھنے والے افراد سے اپیل کرتے ہیں کہ وہ اس مظاہرے میں شریک ہوں، ہمارا ساتھ دیں اور ریاست کو یہ پیغام دیں کہ جبر، ناانصافی اور ریاستی تشدد کے خلاف مظلوم اقوام اپنی جدوجہد جاری رکھیں گی۔
