BSC calls for contributions in the three-day campaigns against enforced disappearances. It is a call for the safety of a son who is illegally kept in torture cells. It is a call for a student who has been taken away from a library. It is the time we need to stand as a nation, as a conscious society; it is the time to call out the oppressor for its atrocities.
You can be part of this campaign.
If you are a student, you can write articles, short captions, and make posters; if you're a journalist, you can contribute by writing features, opinion pieces, and short news. If you're part of any civil society, write letters to different organizations campaigning for human rights.

This is the time to put political differences aside for a collective cause. Today it is Asif who is forcibly disappeared; if we choose to stay silent, tomorrow there may be another Asif. So be part of the campaign for the safety of Asif, Feroz, Saeed, Zakir, and every forcibly disappeared Baloch. Remember, every small act matters, be it in the form of a tweet, video, poster, or article.

We, as a student organisation, strongly believe in democracy, the law, and the justice system, and require the government to uphold the rule of law and ensure justice envisioned.

The enforced disappearance of Jeeyand Baloch, a student political activist and Asif Baloch along with his friends— who were subjected to enforced disappearances a week earlier— is concerning. Baloch students are facing a serious challenge in this alarming period. This deliberate act of illegal acts and intimidation, marked by unstoppable numbers of enforced disappearances, is not only condemnable but highly concerning. We have always deemed such acts as unlawful and inhumane in nature and have condemned them in many cases. We believe that such conduct creates an atmosphere of fear among Baloch society, which is a clear violation of democratic practice.

We, as a student organisation, strongly believe in democracy, the law, and the justice system, and require the government to uphold the rule of law and ensure justice envisioned. We demand that all the students along with all other individuals, who have been subjected to enforced disappearances must be released safely.

Nine days have passed since the enforced disappearance of Asif Baloch on 13 July 2026. Nine days of unanswered questions. Nine days of fear, anguish, and uncertainty for a family denied even the most basic information about his fate or whereabouts. This is not only the disappearance of one individual. It is the deliberate infliction of permanent psychological torture on an entire family. Enforced disappearance functions as a policy of collective punishment, extending suffering far beyond the victim and into the lives of every parent, sibling, and loved one forced to wait in silence.

Enforced disappearance is a grave violation of international human rights law, including the rights to liberty, security, due process, and protection from arbitrary detention. The normalization of enforced disappearance and the impunity enjoyed by those responsible undermine justice and erode the foundations of human rights. Speaking out against this practice is a moral and legal obligation. Silence is complicity.
