35 years ago, Amitabh Bachchan spoke about cockroaches in the film Hum. He explained that the world has two kinds of pests:

Gutter Cockroach: This type rises from the garbage and makes an individual person sick. You can easily kill it using standard bug spray available in the market.

Society Cockroach: This type operates in the corrupt layers of society and makes the entire community or system sick. Unlike regular bugs, there is no spray or product sold in any market to wipe them out.

@lijinc83 After 1857 uprising and the British backlash, Muslim hostility to British Empire did not scale up to a mass level. Naturally 1875 Vande Mataram did not create any objection. From 1896 it was sung in Congress meetings. The compromise in 1937 culminated in Partition of India!

@TimesNow Vande mataram is an emotional chant associated with freedom fighters. Those who are not associated with freedom struggle may not feel that connection and look at it from a different perspective. It simply means they were collaborators of British Empire!

@amitmalviya Partition of India happened precisely because of Congress watering down the national fervour of being our mother land. No one said this openly even in BJP. Why Congress accepted Partition was never properly debated. If it was to avoid bloodshed, partition killed 3 million people!

Happy to see the PM waking up to the threat of Dimaagi Naxals. These Naxals have infiltrated the system and is an internal security threat. We cannot progress without removing these dangerous elements. Not an easy task at all.
