‘From 1 November to 31 January, non-Delhi vehicles below BS-6 norms will not be allowed to enter Delhi.’ In principle this can make a big difference for black carbon emission control (a super pollutant that traps all other pollutants close to the land surface) because BS6 requires diesel particulate filter (DPF) and because many heavy vehicles transit via Delhi. In practice:

1. Enforcement: How strictly will this be enforced for heavy vehciles? Can they bypass the ban?
2. ⁠Deletion: Will the BS6 vehicles be checked for whether their DPF is deleted?
3. ⁠Geography: Why is below BS6 ban limited to non-Delhi vehicles within Delhi, not comprehensively applied to all vehicles in Delh and and also Delhi-NCR including Gurgaon and Noida?

Very true Pooja…very relevant points…Honble CM Maam…I will sincerely request you to pass necessary directions in this regards if you want your people of Delhi see pollution free winter…the problem Maam is the old diesel trucks emitting black smoke late night still pass through Delhi in thousands..some are caught but maximum keep on plying blackening Delhi…one Nov night u will have to stand with me to see for yourself ..then something has to be done of the unorganised hazardous polluting industrial units in North & East Delhi..these two are the biggest polluting agencies of Delhi adding on to the Stubble burning smoke as it is coming towards Delhi from Haryana & Punjab..and Maam for 3 months pl close the brick kilns around Delhi..we will then be able to contain pollution upto 300 AQI 🙏🙏

As it is Def Forces are based on ethos, traditions & unit spirits & legacy…we can’t have adhoc or temporary or short term recruitment of jawans and then 60% told thank u very much after 4 yrs and now u become a Security Gd of a multinational coy or a Bank..only 30% should be out and 70% should be retained in the Agniveer Scheme who keep on serving their unit , Def Forces and the nation as a dedicated soldier 👍👍🫡🫡🇮🇳🇮🇳
