Experiential study of Patanjali Yog Darshan, its impact on mind & body functions, Well-being framework, Low carb nutrition, Consciousness, False perception
@jasmeet481 Some rare health coaches devote full-time to learn & experience metabolic health, while enduring uncertainty of career, loss of income...
You are one of them.
I wish you are paid back with same amount of sincerity in well-being, from the beneficiaries as a fair transaction.
@jasmeet481 Can acceptance of Iron/Steel cage help?
"...When born in society with technological, economic relationships as fundamental forces
Life, worldview are shaped to such extent that one can't imagine alternative way..."
- explained by Max Weber in 1904

If you trusted "settled science" throughout history, you'd have:
- Drunk radioactive water for vitality (1920s)
- Had your healthy teeth pulled to cure mental illness (1910s)
- Smoked cigarettes for your throat, on doctor's orders (1940s)
- Taken heroin for your child's cough (1890s)
- Eaten lead paint chips as a calcium supplement (decades of this)
- Used asbestos to insulate your child's bedroom (1950s)
- Given thalidomide to pregnant women for morning sickness (1960s)
- Eaten margarine for your heart (1970s)
- Lobotomised your sister for being unhappy (1940s and 50s)
- Sprayed DDT on the children in the playground (1950s)
- Avoided all fat to lose weight (1990s)
- Replaced butter with trans-fat spreads on the doctor's recommendation (1990s)
Every generation has its medical catastrophe dressed up as health advice. Endorsed by the experts. Printed in the textbooks. Recommended by your doctor. Featured on the front of the magazines in the waiting room.
Ours is seed oils, statins, grain-based diets, ultra-processed convenience food, and the steady chemical maintenance of conditions that better food would resolve in 90 days.
Future generations will look back in horror. Just like we look back at radioactive tonics and cigarette prescriptions and wonder how anyone fell for it.
The pattern never changes. Only the product on the shelf.
@jasmeet481 You helped me identify this issue for a friend of mine.
When I tried to explain to him, he asked for quick solution, without "lecture", free of cost.
I think, Personalized Metabolic health is innovation in healthcare.
But Care economy is undervalued in market economy mindset
Most people miss that this “gut–mind loop” is literally wired: chronic stress and anxious rumination drive sympathetic activation, alter motility and permeability, and shift the microbiome; in turn, dysbiosis and gut inflammation feed back through the vagus and cytokines to worsen mood, sleep, and cognition.
@jasmeet481 Thanks to you and Shashi Sir @shashiiyengar for hosting the talk on central role of Uric acid in metabolic health for Indian audience.

This is INNOVATION.
It led me to learn Fructose survival model by Dr Richard Johnson, and various factors in your post.
@shashiiyengar Sir,
Nice to see your credit to 'Fructose Survival Model' as a cause of Obesity and Metabolic Diseases given by Dr Richard Johnson.
Thanks to you for the session with Dr Peter Delannoy in Metabolic Health Conference 2025, that covered this model.

Diabetes Awareness Month.
Sir William Osler is considered the father of Internal Medicine.
His Textbook in 1892 mentioned lowering carbohydrates for diabetes management.
How did he know so much back then, while now they recommend high-carb foods despite having CGMs, meters, and easy access to labs?

What Are Ketone Bodies?
There are three primary ketone bodies:
1️⃣ Acetone
2️⃣Acetoacetate
3️⃣Beta-hydroxybutyrate
🔴Despite the name, not all are true ketones (e.g., beta-hydroxybutyrate is an alcohol).
🔵The term "ketone bodies" is somewhat misleading, as these compounds are highly soluble in blood and urine.
🟠They act as vital energy reserves, especially for the brain during prolonged fasting.
Normal Metabolism
🟢Under normal conditions, the body primarily uses glucose derived from carbohydrates for energy.
When dietary intake ceases:
🔶The body first uses glycogen reserves (liver and muscle).
🔷Next, it metabolizes fatty acids & protein for energy.
The Role of Ketone Bodies
▶️During prolonged fasting:
✅Fatty acids are broken down in the liver to produce acetyl-CoA.
✅This acetyl-CoA is then converted into ketone bodies.
✅The challenge : The brain cannot directly utilize fatty acids due to the blood-brain barrier.
✅However, ketone bodies can cross this barrier, providing an essential energy source for the brain.
Synthesis of Ketone Bodies
Where ? => In the liver hepatocytes.
How ? =>
Fatty acid oxidation produces acetyl-CoA.
Acetyl-CoA undergoes enzymatic reactions.
Acetoacetate is formed via HMG-CoA.
Acetoacetate is converted to Beta-hydroxybutyrate (via beta-hydroxybutyrate dehydrogenase).
Acetone (a minor product).
🧠 Ketone Bodies in the Brain
▶️When glucose is unavailable, ketone bodies become the brain's primary fuel:
▶️Beta-hydroxybutyrate enters the brain and is converted back to acetoacetate.
▶️Acetoacetate is further processed into acetyl-CoA by the enzyme succinyl-CoA:3-ketoacid transferase (absent in the liver to prevent a futile cycle).
▶️Acetyl-CoA enters the Krebs cycle, generating ATP to sustain brain function.

Low carb high fat vs. high Carb low-fat diet.
Which is good?
This study compared both.
"Dietary carbohydrate restriction induces a unique metabolic state positively affecting atherogenic dyslipidemia, fatty acid partitioning, and metabolic syndrome"
Improved Lipid Profile: The LCHF diet reduced ApoB/ApoA-1 ratio, ApoB, and small LDL-C particles significantly more than the high-carb diet, indicating lower cardiovascular risk.
Better Triglyceride and HDL-C Levels: The high-fat diet lowered the triglyceride/HDL-C ratio and increased HDL-C levels, both associated with improved heart health.
Reduced Insulin Resistance and Inflammation: HOMA, insulin, leptin, and glucose levels improved more with the ketogenic diet, suggesting enhanced insulin sensitivity and reduced inflammation.
Decreased Body Mass and Fat: Abdominal fat and body mass showed greater reductions with the high-fat diet.

What predicted longevity in this population?
Read below:
"Blood biomarker profiles and exceptional longevity: comparison of centenarians and non-centenarians in a 35-year follow-up of the Swedish AMORIS cohort"
Centenarians had favourable biomarker levels as early as age 65, with higher total cholesterol and iron and lower glucose, creatinine, uric acid, and liver enzyme levels (such as aspartate aminotransferase, GGT, ALP, and Lactate Dehydrogenase).
The likelihood of becoming a centenarian increased with higher cholesterol and iron levels, while lower levels of glucose and inflammation markers also positively correlated with longevity.
Uric acid levels were particularly significant, with lower levels almost doubling the chance of living to 100 compared to the highest quintile.

The industry is hell-bent on bariatric or Glp1a for young people also.
They will never recommend low carb or getting off ultra processed junk foods
It's better that we don't fall these traps.
Get your diet corrected.
@dlifein

The industry's failure to address obesity has now led to combining GLP-1 agonists with bariatric surgery.
These misguided & uninformed approaches risk endangering your health.
They have failed to protect you.
Correct your diet & eliminate all ultra-processed junk foods immediately.

Whey is an extremely good option for Indian vegetarians.
We have seen good results in a number of clients.
But for mental health cases, whey can be counter protective, and it's best avoided in these cases, which are sensitive to levels of insulin and ketone.
For how long can you stand on one leg?
Ability to stand on one leg is a good measure of neuro-muscular functions, with aging.
With eyes open, a 30-year old should be able to stand for 45 seconds or more. This ability reduces with age (40 seconds or more at 50 and 20 seconds or more at 70 years).
Ability to stand on one leg depends on muscle strength, balance, vision and hearing, and therefore it is more accurate than testing muscle strength (as by hand grip measurement) alone.
