The interval for New Mexico's last increase is 23 years. A quick assessment on the condition of state and local roadways makes one wonder why lawmakers wouldn't just peg the rate to inflation. #nmleg
@Topps72@LukeEpplin That 2nd call was a payback call and it didn't matter to the ump that there were 2out and bases loaded. Being close is human but affecting the game due to bruised ego or being shown up has no place. Beyond payback calls is tossing a player which might have happened there as well.
@pgessing This is a poor comparison. If one assumes the legislature took no action in the most recent session both NM and nearly every one of the other 49 states still would not compete with FL on taxation of income.
Bills came due. The number of kids learning to ski has plummeted, and the internals at both Vail & Alterra must be apocalyptic. A reckoning was coming; they alienated their core userbase in favor of Ultra-Weathy tourism, and it killed the next generation of skiers.
A $1 billion fusion project could rise in the New Mexico desert, backed by the state’s $70 billion oil fund. It’s a high-stakes push to lure startups home https://t.co/C7f8M6USS2
March 6, 1969 - Apollo 9
Without doubt some of the finest photography of the Apollo program and one of my favourite chapters in the book.
The mission was conducted entirely in Earth orbit. Dave Scott is seen poking his head out of the hatch.
2 years later, he walked on the Moon.
This letter written by Max Scherzer’s daughter, Brooke, to the Blue Jays, hoping they would re-sign her dad 😭😭😭😭😭
Amazing! Baseball is the best 🥺

The first LNG cargo from Sabine Pass was exported 10 years ago today. The United States is now the world’s largest LNG exporter, with U.S. LNG exports forecast to exceed 18.1 Bcf/d in 2027. #TodayInEnergy

@okay_youreright@GasBuddyGuy it's a low-rate financing option via hostage taking, entirely unethical. With the newer soccer leagues and small-city club teams coming up this is literally part of the business model; heavy marketing, pitch a publicly financed park, cash-in on neighboring real estate purchases.
@okay_youreright@GasBuddyGuy Team ownership would laugh at the suggestion but it's an obvious point of leverage for taxpayers, to just exchange public money for no ownership interest or % of earnings is very poor deal-making
