2.5 years ago I stood in the corner of a Bitcoin meetup, clasping my hands, curiously nodding along while my brain tried to keep up with UTXOs and Shamir's Secret Sharing.
That was then.
This is me now, handing the economics book of the century to @DHughesy.
Episode out this coming week. ๐๏ธ๐ฟ

Property is an active business. You manage tenants, repairs, agents, insurance renewals, council notices and rate changes.
Miss one and the cash flow or the capital value can take a hit. Bitcoin is passive ownership of a fixed supply.
Once it is in your wallet there are no tenants to chase, no rates to pay, no one who can rezone the asset or change the issuance schedule.
The next halving is in 2028.
New supply drops from ~450 BTC a day to ~225.
Demand does not have to double for the same scarcity pressure to reappear.
It only has to stay the same or rise.
In property you can still build more stock if the numbers work.
In Bitcoin the protocol decides the supply and the decision was already made.
One requires constant attention and external permissions.
The other requires only that you hold it.
I'm mining Bitcoin with excess solar energy.
I'd never be able to particpate in mining my own gold while I sleep, and certainly not with excess energy.
It would require expelling physical energy and incredible luck.
Bitcoin is the only asset where the owner can own it, mine it, and spend it while never leaving the bed.
Victoria's homcide rates per 100,000 citizens must be over 1.5 now @grok? There is a murder ever few days now.
Please check as of today.
Labor government has blood on their hands.
A father of two has been stabbed to death while working as a food delivery rider in the CBD.
Police have arrested a 51-year-old man over the attack, which also left another rider injured. @JuliaPassa#9News
Solution:
Go through a stock brokerage - IBKR, Stake, Superhero, etc. No such limits when transferring funds there.
In-kind Bitcoin ETFs like IBTC allow on-chain BTC withdrawals after purchase. The BTC goes back into your cold wallet.
Do not use CommSec or CMC as they donโt allow purchase of these Bitcoin ETFs that support BTC withdrawals.
It rained all last night.
I drove over a swimming pool on the freeway and nearly had an accident.
It was a pot hole about 2 foot wide and 1 foot deep.
Had no idea it was a pothole because of the water.
Fix the fucking roads @BenCarrollMP
I don't know what this stat is and I'm sure @grok can help.
I'd guess less than 0.5% of the Victorian population is responsible for 99% of all the crimes.
That includes home invasion, theft, machete attacks etc.
How is this a hard issue to fix ?
@BenCarrollMP
My mate sent me this today.
A line at Kmart for Pokemon.
The economy is cooked, though we have 18 to 30 year olds spending thousands on cards with the hope they go up in value.
This isn't a sign the economy is thriving..
This is a sign that those generations have lost complete motivation to buy a home because it's out of reach.
They turn to cheap dopamine hits and the hope these cards gain value large enough to some day give them the chance to buy a home or feel "rich".
Last year when gold snd silver broke all time highs, people lined up at the mints. That signalled the top.
Gold and silver has dropped 50% since.
This marks the top of Pokemon..
Pokemon will print more and more and more to meet demand effectively diluting all these purchases.
Buy the boring asset that can not be printed. It's called Bitcoin.
Bitcoin only moves higher once it cleans these greedy leverage traders.
Leverage trading has a 98% loss rate over a period of time.
Just buy Bitcoin and take it off exchanges.
