Fun fact. Council Theory had traction among the Palestinian Fedayeen of the DFLP. This was due to the initiatives by Council Communists Lafif Lakhdar and Hakima Barrada and the Situationist Mustapha Khayati who were involved in DFLP's education school for its cadres and Fedayeen.

On this day in 1943, the Council Communist Alexander Schwab passed away in a prison in Zwickau after years of suffering from constant torture and pneumonia. A KAPD foreman during the early 1920s, Schwab was also the main leader of the Council Com resistance group Rote Kämpfer.

An intriguing thing that I came about is that the German Dadaist Kurt Schwitters had created his very own hypothetical party named "Kaiserliche Anna Blume Partei" and gave it the acronym KAPD. The reason for this was his sympathy with original KAPD but also reluctance to join it.
