If she's a problem in pro play and you want to change her that's fine, but you have to balance it with some quality of life things to make sure you don't screw over the rest of the playerbase.
I've loved viper since beta and I think the Q pickup change makes her inviable.
Being able to pick up viper orb is what makes her good! It's a core part of her identity. It's the trade off to the inflexibility of the wall.
Plus giving her one expensive molly that does almost no damage.
Most baffling set of patch notes I've ever seen. Weirdly focused on the Cypher slow rather than reveal which is what kills, and they also announce they're deleting viper from the game??
