Yay! One question remains… were teachers consulted on those limits because no one I know wants an odd number of students! I see you 23 and 25… or was that an intentional slight? Hmm. Costly oppsie?

Hey @NYCSpeakerCoJo, we need your help! ALL #OurKidsNeed smaller class sizes and school-based intervention teams. Keep the pressure on @NYCMayor to put money in the budget for what #OurKidsNeed
THANK YOU!!
I'm attending the @classsizematter@NYCKidsPAC Parent Action Conference on May 22: How do you think NYC schools should spend billions in new funds to improve our schools?. RSVP here: https://t.co/sEMc5JTu2u
@DOEChancellor@NYCSchools That’s right! We must do better. Lowered class sizes will help us give better, more individualized support to students and their families. Let’s do it!
@elizashapiro BTW- many teachers are parents too. This random mandate doesn’t address the issue of childcare, doesn’t ensure ed access to those who need it most and certainly doesn’t feed children who rely on school meals and services. Time to rethink 180 days... it’s just a number.
@DOEChancellor@NYCSchools@NYCMayorsOffice@NYCMayor@nycgov I love all the $$$ but where is lowered class size in this proposal? We can address student needs better & more effectively when there are 18 kinders, not 25! An extra teacher in the room isn’t a viable solution. Use the data and end over-crowding. Thanks! #classsizematters
@DOEChancellor@NYCSchools I still don’t understand why teachers are learning about these big changes at the same time as everyone else. What about transparency and engaging shareholders? We want to make things work collaboratively but you keep moving the targets without asking what works for our schools!

@tffiddler @TheVictor69 @NYCMayor That’s rude. Teachers have masters degrees and ongoing training. I think it would be great if we could inspire and hire parents who want to become educators after this experience. #dontHateAppreciate
@For4thepeople @read2homeschool@NYCSchools Doesn’t that just highlight a bigger problem that needs to be addressed, pandemic aside? Schools do so much more than academics and should be treated as such! Fully fund, fully staff and fully support our schools so we can continue to care for our communities! #StaySafe
