Such a great end to the semester: my public sociology students’ photovoice project featured in the local newspaper, and compliments from my gender students. #lovemyjob
Totally blown away by this hardworking group! Our photovoice exhibit on food justice was a success & our third-grade partners did a great job talking with community leaders about challenges & opportunities in Salem. #publicsociology#civicengagement#foodjustice#healthequity
So proud to see @kmbrlybrbz inducted into the Salem State Civic Engagement Hall of Fame! Such a well deserved honor for this feminist, activist, and all-round changemaker! @FeministsOfSSU@SalemStateCCE#CivicEngagement
Today @salemstate sociology students helped pack weekend meals for Salem students. Run by @Salempantry, this invaluable program helps students eat well on weekends. The question we’re asking: how can we create more equitable health policies that make these programs unnecessary?
Totally blown away by the Nature’s Nation exhibit at the @peabodyessex, which starts with an acknowledgement of the Indigenous lands it sits on, and ends with artifacts from the Water Protectors’ response to brutalization by police at Standing Rock.
