@Maskani254@kawive@nisisikenya The Constitution provides the roadmap. Full implementation, citizen participation, and accountable governance are essential to ensuring every Kenyan lives with dignity and equal opportunity. #TekelezaKatibaKE
@Maskani254@kawive@nisisikenya Shared prosperity begins with fighting corruption, protecting public resources, and investing in sectors that create jobs, reduce inequality, and restore public trust. #TekelezaKatibaKE
@Maskani254@kawive@nisisikenya Democratic gains only matter when they improve people's daily lives. Strong institutions, accountable leadership, and inclusive economic growth must benefit every Kenyan, not just a few. #TekelezaKatibaKE
@Maskani254@kawive@nisisikenya Kenya must move beyond political freedoms to deliver quality education, decent jobs, affordable healthcare, and equal economic opportunities for every citizen. That is the true promise of democracy. #TekelezaKatibaKE
The Saba Saba movement envisioned a Kenya where every citizen had equal opportunities to succeed through access to quality education. Activists believed that education was essential for empowering citizens, reducing inequality, promoting social mobility, and enabling meaningful participation in democratic governance.
Kenya has made significant progress in expanding access to education through free primary education, increased secondary school enrolment, and constitutional recognition of education as a right. However, many learners continue to face challenges related to affordability, school infrastructure, teacher shortages, digital inequality, and access to quality learning, particularly in marginalized communities.
According to the Kenya National Bureau of Statistics (KNBS), literacy rates have improved significantly over the past three decades, and primary school enrolment exceeds 90%. However, disparities in learning outcomes, school completion rates, and access to quality education persist across counties and socio-economic groups. Recent government reports also continue to highlight teacher shortages and infrastructure gaps in public schools.
Thirty-six years after Saba Saba, has Kenya achieved an education system that provides every child with an equal opportunity to succeed regardless of their background?

@Maskani254@kawive@nisisikenya The promise of Saba Saba will only be realized when every child has access to inclusive, quality education that prepares them to thrive and contribute to national development. #TekelezaKatibaKE
@Maskani254@kawive@nisisikenya Quality education is more than school enrollment, it requires qualified teachers, adequate learning resources, safe schools, and equal opportunities for every learner. #TekelezaKatibaKE
@Maskani254@kawive@nisisikenya Every child deserves the same chance to succeed, regardless of where they are born or their family's income. Investing in equitable education is investing in Kenya's future. #TekelezaKatibaKE
@Maskani254@kawive@nisisikenya Not yet. While access to education has improved, many children still face barriers due to poverty, inadequate infrastructure, and unequal access to quality learning. #TekelezaKatibaKE
The Saba Saba movement opposed state repression, arbitrary arrests, torture, and excessive use of force against citizens exercising their constitutional freedoms.
Concerns about police accountability and the use of force during demonstrations continue to feature prominently in national conversations on governance, justice, and human rights.
Human rights organizations have documented deaths, injuries, arrests, and allegations of excessive force during recent demonstrations, renewing calls for greater police accountability and reforms.
Thirty-six years after Saba Saba, what reforms are needed to ensure public safety while fully protecting citizens' constitutional rights?

@Maskani254@kawive@nisisikenya The debt and tax keep increasing yet developments happen slowly that only a tortoise could comprehend!! Saba Saba wanted money to be used for the good of Kenyans #TekelezaKatibaKE
@Maskani254@kawive@nisisikenya The aspirations of Saba Saba require every shilling collected from taxpayers to improve lives. Prudent resource management, reduced wastage, and investment in essential services are key to restoring public trust.
