While human nature might be good, this system does not seem as if it would work for those completely insane criminals and perpetrators #AuburnWorldHistory
Seeing something like the trade on film would allow American society to really understand how traffic and horrific the trade really was. More films need to be made on the subject so it is not forgotten #tastp
Check out the trailer for "500 Years Later" which explores the idea that the slave trade never actually ended https://t.co/rCRPJlzdy8 ⚡️ “World History Final Project ” by @Sarah87123405

Most American films about slavery seem to focus on how the salves need to be saved rather than the why they (or their ancestors) were kidnapped and brought to the states in the first place #tastp
The slave trade has clearly influenced films, especially in recent years. "Django Unchained", "12 Years a Slave", and "The Help" all show the effects of this tragic event in history #tastp
Films seems to focus on the effect of the trade rather than the trade itself. Is Hollywood afraid to tackle this subject? #tastp ⚡️ “World History Final Project ” by @Sarah87123405

"Amistad" made in 1997, tells the true story of a slave revolt on a ship which resulted in a U.S court case, United Staes v. The Amistad. Watch a clip of it here! https://t.co/lh2QoFliSz via @YouTube ⚡️ “World History Final Project ” by @Sarah87123405

Not many movies made about this event maybe that's because it would be so unsettling to watch and would remind society that this actually happened and isn't just a history fact. #tastp⚡️ “World History Final Project ” @Sarah87123405

As Americans, I think we take for granted our personal freedoms that our Founders fought for; these same rights are what the people camped in the Square are asking for #AuburnWorldHistory ⚡️ “Auburn World History ” by @Sarah87123405

People seem to forget how violent the Arab spring really was. Its horrific what people will do to others simply to keep political power. #AuburnWorldHistory ⚡️ “Auburn World History ” by @Sarah87123405

When looking at movies related the one thing that I really noticed was how Hollywood they became. Documentaries are one thing but in terms of pop culture there is little fact. #tastp ⚡️ “World History Final Project ” by @Sarah87123405
