@ianwalker Yes, love this, imagine delivering the continuous, coherent, comfortable and world-class National Cycle Network that @Sustrans has been working so hard to achieve for more than 50 years!
This road is not important for car access as there are alternatives but it is a VERY busy route for young #carless people walking to uni and school @BGSBristol and @BristolUni should strongly object to it being reopened imho!
Prioritising motor traffic goes against both local and national guidelines, which should see pedestrians at the top of the traffic hierarchy. The council's own officers admit that. Yet this road looks likely to be reopened to cars. https://t.co/F89rJS97Bo

19 years on from my first @VelocitySeries Conference in #Paris I’m so excited to see whole streets like Rue de Rivoli given over to people on foot and bike. I can hear laughing and chatting not traffic from hotel balcony - sensational!!!
@David_on_a_bike Been thinking this every day for the past 2 months. I wonder if @BristolCouncil transport people have been monitoring displacement/disappearance? #LTN would make life better for residents and businesses
Join the fourth cohort of students in the @AAPSCDT in September and be part of creating a future where our mobility choices positively affect air quality and contribute to the end of climate change!

I can’t afford a bike I can lift up and I am unable to push my bike for distances so this is a no go for me. I have only the option of crossing in central london and I am spitting feathers of fury that a crossing for container trucks (Silvertown tunnel) is being built instead
The £700,000 cycle lane along #KensingtonHighStreet is being ripped out this week after less than two months. I used it tonight and met a mum and daughter who didn't know it was being removed. I hope @RBKC council might watch this and think again
@JoLewisSA Good for you, hope you have a lovely birthday!! It might be good if you would like to review our draft vision once we have run the workshops...and we could chat then too! Will email you
@JoLewisSA Hi Jo how on earth are you?! I'd like to invite you to a workshop (BNES 2030 vision) but can't find your email - can you send it to me pls? Look forward to catching up xx
