A plane passenger captured video of the massive Palisades fire as they were landing at Los Angeles International Airport Tuesday evening. https://t.co/bdYtGUIoJ0
Here at the Rose Bowl where large animals can be sheltered, 22-year-old Gabino Gonzalez and his father walked their horses out of the fires in Altadena all the way to Pasadena. Gabino’s home is gone, but he said he got his dogs & his family out and that’s all that matters.
“Weak, little gymnast”? I think @MarkRobinsonNC means the most decorated U.S. Olympic gymnast in history.
What’s “weak” is trying to puff yourself up by tearing someone else down.
I’m thrilled for Simone Biles and Team USA!🇺🇸
Everything I do in education is in honor of my mother. She grew up dirt poor - her house’s floor was literally dirt - and education gave her opportunity.
Educators have a noble calling to help our children. I look forward to seeing many of you soon: https://t.co/f7gbLMuW1u
Congrats to the U.S. Women's Gymnastics team for winning gold and to the GOAT @Simone_Biles for becoming the most decorated American gymnast in history!
In four days, federal funding for child care centers expires and nearly a third of North Carolina centers are at risk of closing. Republicans in the legislature must address this.

Last night, the NC Senate approved a budget that included steps in the right direction: funding for childcare and support for our university system. Unfortunately, the budget doesn't come close to fulfilling the needs of our public schools.
I proposed an amendment to provide teachers with an 8.5% salary raise and reinstate Master's pay. I will always stand up for North Carolina's teachers who are vital to our local communities and economies. #ncpol
“Don’t leave anything for later. Later, the coffee gets cold. Later, you lose interest. Later, the day turns into night. Later, people grow up. Later, people grow old. Later, life goes by. Later, you regret not doing something when you had the chance.” ~Unknown
. @HuntforNC is a steadfast champion for all North Carolinians and will bring an experienced and steady hand to the job of Lieutenant Governor. I’m ready to get to work with her to make North Carolina safer and stronger.
We stand at a crossroads in NC: we must fully fund our public schools instead of handing out billions to taxpayer funded private school vouchers.
I believe in both the promise & potential of our public schools. It’s an honor to be endorsed by the Network for Public Education.
Today, Gov. Cooper presented his budget which includes an 8.5% pay raise for our teachers and $1B investment in public education. We must do the right thing and invest in our public schools, not taxpayer funded private school vouchers for the wealthy.

Thank you @UNCYoungDems for hosting me in Chapel Hill! Youth engagement is critical- it was a key pillar when I worked in school systems & it’s an important piece of our campaign.
Thank you for your campus and community leadership!
When Supt. Cole was deciding on his office décor, he turned to the talented students of WBHS for help! Supt. Cole asked 5 students to take photos of their favorite places in Brunswick County, and this was the result!📷
Supt. Cole now proudly displays these photos in his office!
