What @jasonrantz is pointing at @letsgowa- rian Heywood / Seattle Red: when Dems passed SB 6346 (Ferguson signed March 30, 2026), the 9.9% tax on household income over $1 million, they also rewrote 11 old pension-shield statutes.

Each one used to say PERS / LEOFF / teachers / school employees / public-safety / judges / firemen pensions were exempt from state and local tax. They added the same sentence: that shield does not apply to tax under Title 82A (the new income-tax title).

They also poked RCW 6.15.020 so 401(k) / IRA / Roth money isn’t walled off from Title 82A collection.

What that is / isn’t
Is: they removed the legal moat so retirement income can count toward the millionaire tax. Law is on the books now. First dollars 2029 (2028 income). I-645 on the Nov ballot tries to kill the tax.

Isn’t: every cop/teacher check gets a 9.9% haircut tomorrow. Only if that household clears $1M. The scare is the menu — threshold can move; the exemption is already gone.

They finally folded.

Riley Gaines says she’s “beyond thrilled” that her lawsuit against the NCAA has been settled after more than four years.

Gaines will receive an undisclosed amount in punitive damages and have her name restored as the sole finisher in her place in the 2000M freestyle.

“They finally did the right thing,” Gaines told supporters at a rally outside the courthouse. “And I promise to use this settlement to further the cause of keeping women’s sports safe for women.”

The NCAA hasn’t returned a request for comment.

Is Texas Children’s Hospital going to kill this child as retribution because they are angry at AG Ken Paxton for successfully blocking them from doing trans surgeries on children?

This tiny little girl has shown some signs of recovery nearly drowning on Memorial Day and multiple doctors agree the hospital needs to give her time for the swelling on her brain stem to go down - but the Hospital is pushing to do a brain function test and wants the family to donate her organs. Debra Sukin is the President & CEO. She will not let this child be transferred to another hospital - she is blocking the parents from fighting for the life of their little girl and violating their religious belief in the sanctity of life. The parents got a temporary restraint order against the hospital to give jen time & a radical Progressive judge blocked it & gave the hospital the right to do the brain function test now before she has had time to heal.

There are TWO other Texas hospitals in the area standing by ready to take this child. How can anyone let Texas Children’s murder this little girl?
