I am so honoured to be awarded the AFE Supervisor's Award for Excellence by @westernuEdu. It was such a pleasure to share my love of teaching and my knowledge with teacher candidates this year while at @bantingbroncos. I'm excited for more opportunities to share my passion!
I'm posting daily #MentalHealthWeek tips in my Google Classrooms alongside the link to the @TVDSB webpage. Between my favourite stress-buster strategies and those on the board website, I'm hoping to give me Ss plenty of strategies to try out. @bantingbroncos
@bantingbroncos teachers and staff really miss our students! Check out these messages (in English, French, and every first language spoken by our students) from me and my colleagues ❤️ https://t.co/CqVf2JWaJ3
Hey English teachers! Are you working with ELLs in your class and wondering how to support them during your emergency distance learning? Check out these dual language glossaries from @nyuniversity with examples and translations in over 20 languages! #ELL https://t.co/KI5XiQOwm9
The stories that my Ss are choosing to share and the realizations that they have about how what makes them unique also makes them beautiful and powerful is so inspiring! I'm proud to be a @bantingbroncos and I'm so grateful to teach ELLs ❤️ @MelissaAllder @TVDSB@TVDSBEquity
Ss in my @bantingbroncos ESL classes have engaged with the #webelongtosomethingbeautiful campaign videos from @Sephora over the past weeks. The final step in this mini-unit was to create their own "We Belong to Something Beautiful" videos about their stories. @ELLtvdsb

Thank you to Kara from @londonlibrary for coming to @bantingbroncos today to facilitate an IELTs information session! Our students breathed a sigh of relief when they saw all of the amazing resources at their fingertips 🙌🏻 @ELLtvdsb@TVDSBEquity @MelissaAllder
This week, @fordnation admitted to visibility issues w Conservative-branded ON license plates that cost 600k to design/produce. Today, #teachers strike again for #NoCutsToEducation. We’ve already sacrificed our “2% salary increase” for our students...who‘s the greedy one again?
As we learn about elements of fiction in ESL, @bantingbroncos
ELLs learned new vocab by translating English words to their L1, and then indicating whether the emotion was (+) or (-). Honouring students’ L1 in language acquisition is so beneficial. @ELLtvdsb @MelissaAllder
