When Hilda Baci stood for days to put Nigeria on the world map, the entire South stood still, cheered her on, and carried her to victory on the wings of massive support.
Today, our very own brother from the North, Abdulkadir Basari, is at MAAUN Kano, pushing through a grueling 120-hour non-stop sewing marathon to break a Guinness World Record—not just for fame, but to sew uniforms for less-privileged kids!
Why is Arewa so silent? We must learn to celebrate and lift our own champions. Let’s make some noise for him! 🧵
The family of the Esther babe who died in the Delta Line accident is soliciting funds for mortuary bills. It’s a very sad story; please donate if you can. 🙏🏼
As a female artist, I want to be known for more than my appearance.
Let’s also be honest: men appreciate women who bring value into their lives, just as women appreciate men who do the same.
Ladies, build yourselves. Develop your talents. Pursue your purpose.
There’s a difference between being wanted and being valued.
Your body might attract attention, but your mind, your work, your character, and what you bring to the table can create opportunities that extend far beyond relationships.
Don’t just work on being a woman a man desires. Become a woman with substance, and purpose.

Africans are genuinely being treated as subhuman every day. No human deserves to be treated as anything less than that, a human. Don't ignore it just because they're black.

Do you guys even remember Nabeeha?
She wasn’t some random girl whose story we saw on the news and moved on from. She was our mutual. Some of the same people I see defending and doing PR for this government today were right here with us when she was kidnapped alongside her sisters. We watched it happen. We cried. We begged for help. We had to came together and raised money to help get her surviving sisters released.
Then Nabeeha was killed.
And now some of you have already forgotten all of that because they paid you? What happened to the outrage? What happened to the sympathy you had for victims of insecurity? What happened to all those things you were saying when it was Nabeeha?
OMG, This is what pisses me off. These weren’t strangers to us. She was one of our mutuals. We knew her name, followed her, watched her story unfold and mourned her together.
We haven’t forgotten Nabeeha. We haven’t forgotten her sisters. And we haven’t forgotten why we were angry in the first place.
Do you people remember Abba, the NYSC corps member who was kidnapped?
We were here when he was kidnapped. We watched those horrific videos of him being beaten and humiliated by his captors. Some of us couldn’t even watch without crying. We watched his family struggle, and Nigerians came together to raise money for his ransom. The kidnappers demanded 10m, the money was raised and paid, and they still came back with more demands.
At one point, his family even feared he had been killed and prepared for a funeral prayer. Then another video surfaced showing that he was still alive in captivity. Imagine what his family and everyone following his story went through.
And now I see some of the same people who were here crying, raising money and demanding action suddenly doing PR for the same government while acting like insecurity is no longer an issue.
How do you forget this easily?
